In capitalism (crapitalism) humans always have the desire to make themselves better than what they already are. Now many might think that this is the way it should be, always making yourself better and improving. Or "improving", deep down it is selfish, it's always wanting more. Now what if that feeling can be targeted towards humanity as a whole. Think about things humans would have already accomplished. We would have Mars colonized and nuclear fission harnessed. There would be no wars, there would be no hate. Now there might be some kinks in free will, but we all have to remember that communism is and economic system and not a governmental regime (dictatorship). Also about free will, if everything is supplied there can easily be deals worked out that if you want to travel the world or grasp any human desire whilst still working towards your highest possibility to achieve. I think that one day if every human understands they can make themselves better by making humanity better. In doing so we will reach astronomical values.

It can work in very special circumstances. I consider the US military to be a functional Communist sociaty. Everyone is given the exact same pay scale. Everyone is judged by the exact same metrics. Everyone in theory works towards the common good. It only works because of the capitalist government that funds it. Even then look how expensive it is.
Communism can work. The problem is that it's not that good of a system. Capitalism is infinity better.
You could theoretically make Communism work fairly well, but why would I ever want that? It's not like I oppose Communism just because it has never worked out well. I oppose it because I don't want to live under Communism. It's the worst thing I can imagine.
I want to own my own property, I want to make my own choices, I want to make my own money. Communists claim that in a Capitalist society the rich people are stealing from us and exploiting us. That's completely false. That's a description of Communism.
Even if you get it to work people like me are going to rebel against the system.

In the sense that a self-interested populace can work in support of the rest of said populace, yes.
In the sense that they will WANT to? No. Communism only works on extremely small scales (see the Amish, and the other commune societies in the US). Communism has always been predicated on the idea that technological advances will make it impractical for 99% of humans to do the labor required to maintain society -- Marx wrote of the inevitable collision this will cause between the society of laborers and those who own capital (a pitifully small minority).
Capitalism has no answer to a world without scarcity other than to create it with government-sanctioned monopolies. In this sense we have already achieved socialism, just not in the form anyone would have expected or desired.

That's a good post, but you forget something: Time and Place. Capitalism wasn't that great in 1800's when you could die as a child worker and it isn't so great in China. Communism won't always be as bad as it was in the Soviet Union. But I like your reasoning overall. Go with what's best for you, always.
