How do we improve our chances in November now that Trump is the nominee?

We watch and laugh as Clinton fumbles around like a fucking idiot.

Seriously, the Democratic party hasn't unified yet. Bernie is going to push her platform so far left that Americans will be put off.

Just watch and have fun.

Its always been liberal dominated. In these primaries crooked Hillary got substantially more votes than donald.

Trump could resurrect the Reagan Democrats and could potentially win Michigan and Ohio could be fair game when Kasich stops being a faggot and gets on the train already

On that note, once Trump begins to work his meme magic on Clinton, expect poll results to change almost overnight.

>>
I think Trump has a great chance of taking Florida. Ohio might be a bit tougher, if he plays his cards right and appeals to rust belt joblessness he could clinch it.

I don't see North Carolina going blue desu, might be a big contest though.

Trump doesn't have a shot at NY despite what people say, but what he needs to do is make Hillary be afraid of him taking it and focus ground game in NY rather than some smaller states like Colorado (Trumps opinion on cannabis compared to flip flopping Hillary could do wonders there)

Trump is facing an uphill battle no doubt, but we've certainly been surprised plenty of times this election.

Appeal to the black, uneducated voter.

They are traditional Democrat base (not even trolling, research the demographics -- blacks vote 95% Democrat and the majority of high school dropouts vote Dem). Hillary is not the type of person they find appealing, except that she's Democrat.

If we can somehow either swing them towards Trump or just convince them to not bother turning out at the polls, Trump wins.

Ivory tower elitists will vote Shillary but there aren't enough of them without that 95% black vote to back them up.

This is literally what "rock the vote" has been about for the last 20+ years -- getting the black vote out because they are pure Democrat.

Correct. It is a different game, which is why Trump will win.

We see this stuff every day but most people have not been exposed to the depths of Hillary's corruption and criminal behavior. They don't really grasp just how transparently crooked she is. This will all be exposed in the primaries.

Donald was attacked with everything
EVERYTHING
on his path to win the Republican nomination.

What else are they going to bring up against him? He can only rise and Hillary can only sink.
>>
>>72902895
>>72902922

You could look at governors, state congresses, etc., too get the same picture of what the electorate is thinking. The polls have been way off lately, even before Trump, because they aren't sampling the changing voting population. There are too many important demographics that no longer have landlines or that are just ignored by pollsters. Working class whites are the most important demographic that has been ignored that is basically going to dictate who wins this election. Dems have been getting BTFO the last few years even though polls didn't suggest so.

As to why the house is the best measure until we fix our polls, it's because the house represents the whims of the people. I think the last time there was reporting on elections into the house, the term 'shellacking' was used to describe how the dems lost.

The best way would be to calmly try and red pill them to the things Clinton has done. Then offer that they could vote Trump who would increase their quality of life or convince them that the two are just too evil to be voted for. This honestly works. I've changed to black voters minds doing this.
>>
>>72903649
You stupid motherfucker, of course they vote Hillary when the choice is that or Sanders. Sanders has even less appeal!

Really I think the goal should be to undermine Hillary so badly in black communities that they just plain don't bother voting this year.

It's part of why Republicans took over in the 2014 elections -- black turnout was far lower than the previous mid-term elections.

We can do this.
>>

#niggaz4trump

Do we have any dank niggerposters here? Al squads report in.
>>
>>72903803
All of this shit is because Republicans have better local party organization. It's not a changing voting population, they're just better at getting their voters out, especially for local elections. Which largely doesn't apply for presidential elections which are highly televised and many more people vote in. This isn't to say that Trump can't win mind you, he certainly can, but going by national polling data, Republicans start behind in presidential elections.
And congressional representation is still a fucking terrible measure, because of the gerrymandering. It doesn't represent how people vote at all.
>>
>>72896986

Difference is: Trump has been on reality TV, he's been in their homes and on their televisions for ages. They laughed and got hyped each time he was prepared to say "You're Fired!", he flaunts his wealth and he's pretty much living the dream that you see these people talk about.

Seriously, he's basically living the life rappers *wish* they could. Gold plated fucking everything, gorgeous wife, and no fucking nonsense attitude.

Will the black vote switch to the Republicans? Nope. But you'll likely see Trump take a nice chunk from the Democrats. When you've got two politicians whose only distinguishing feature is whether they have an "R" or a "D" next to their names, then the black vote will almost always swing D.

But when you've got the guy blacks have been watching on television for years on the ballot, suddenly a few have something beyond "R" and "D" to vote for.
>>
>>72904316

Then why have the polls been consistently undercounting Republican and in particular Trump power?

If we went by what the polls said, Dems would still control Congress and half of the state governments. Instead, Republicans control all of Congress with a historic House majority that Republicans haven't seen in a century and have 3 times as many state governments as Democrats.

What use is a poll if it's consistently wrong?

Also, Republicans controlling Congress and local politics is a fairly recent thing. You can look it up, Republicans used to be pathetic until the 90s.

The voters are changing because white people are fed up and finally have a candidate again, unlike what has been going on for decades.
>>
>>72904540

>>
>>72896034
Florida went down by a lot the ladt few weeks, but it looks like Trump is recovering and might be in the lead again soon. Same deal with NC. States like Ohio, PA and WI will need spme work, but if Trump talks about work and free trades ratifications, he might get enough votes to do it. Also never forget: Only 60% of your country is actually showing up on election dates. And black people won't show up as often for a white old women as they did for Obama. They might also be concerned about jobs, so some of them may support Trump. The only worrisome group are Hispanics in Florida and Nevada but if Trump keeps his tone down and praises the legal ones, maybe he'll get enough votes or the Hispanics don't bother going to vote, as they only have a voting turnout of about 50%. Lastly, white workers who usually don't vote as often as the educated ones, might start to overwhelmingly support Trump and have a turnout of over 70%, which in effect would switch PA, Wisconsin and even NH.

Explain the Senate, governors and why Republicans have more members or leaners than Democrats for the first time in history.

General vote doesn't win the election. A vote in California doesn't matter, but a vote in Montana does. Another reason why the House is such a good measure, it can sift through even that level of detail.

>>
>>72906151

Big changes in parties are always started in the House because the House is the fastest thing to change.

Ohio turned red because the country is going through historic demographic changes that have put Ohio, an overwhelmingly white state, in the hands of Republicans. It isn't hard to understand why the dems are getting their asses handed to them in Ohio: they spent a decade telling white people that they weren't wanted in the democratic party. Same for every other so-called 'flyover' state. Dems forgot that most of America is nothing like California or New York and are paying for it.

pollsters aren't sampling correctly or are straight lying, judging by Trump's performance relative to polls.

"As of October 2014, Gallup polling found that 43% of Americans identified as Democrats and 39% as Republicans, when party "leaners" were included; those figures changed to 41% Democratic and 42% Republican after the November 2014 elections."

For the first time ever, Republicans have an actual demographic lead and are more likely to vote than Democrats too. See, this is why Dem opposition is losing; they walk in with all these assumptions about America that are just false and never do their homework to learn the truth.
>>
>>72909029
In 2014. If you look at the most recent Gallup stats with lean included its more like 47 percent Democrat and 43 percent republican, at best.
>>
>>72909459

Prove it. In either case, Republicans are more likely to actually vote than Democrats. It's fairly definite that Republicans win if they have equal or larger demographics too.

In any case, explain why polls have been consistently underestimating Trump and why we should still believe them instead of the most recent actual results of voting?

Some people here are saying Hillary will make a fool out of herself.

But isnt it just as likely that Trump can do the same thing?

There must also be some dead bodies still in the closet for Trump.

My point being: this race isnt over yet.

Trump overpolls but usually not by huge margins. More importantly, there have been far more polls done about how people vote in general, and they are far more predictive in accurately guessing how people vote.

Trump outperforms pretty greatly in my opinion, but to me 10% is enough to be significant, I guess, lmao.

We'd be going to a contested convention if polls were an accurate reflection of reality at this point. Hell, he's even winning in Rasmussen. If he's winning in some polls, then he's most likely winning.

IMO, I want Trump to win. But realistically, let's be honest. Hillary vs Trump, I'd give it 95% chance that Hillary will win. Trump is too "offensive" for the normals and democrats simply have too big of an unfair advantage given the current electoral voting system (California, New York, etc goes auto-blue and are huge easy points).

I'm loathe to explain this you, because you're obviously full of shit, so this is for the benefit of anyone else wondering about your retarded argument.

Districts are of roughly equal population. A Democrat winning their safe district by 75 to 24, doesn't mean Democrats are underrepresented when three Republicans go on to win toss-ups in districts 53 to 46.

This is not preclude the fact that I think you're lying about Democrat House members receiving more total votes than did Republican House members. I just can't be arsed to look up reliable figures.

Trump will bring up her emails, her health, Bill, everything!
The Republican primary has stripped Trump naked and he is just standing there saying
>"Well, it ain't goin to suck it's self"
>>
>>72919306
They've kinda been doing that on FOX for a while now. The rest of the media is likely tacitly supporting Hillary so they won't give it too much attention. Unless Trump has massively unexpected dirt, don't expect anything substantial in the way of attacks that'll stick.
>>
>>72919096
As someone who browsed /pol/ for that election, I can safely say that most posters did not expect Romney to win. There was a small vocal minority that supported him that were constantly berated for their stupidity.
>>
>>72896034

Clinton would have to have a stroke or go to jail, and Bernie would have to also die.

The only other option for Trump to win was for Bernie to go third party (which Trump tried to convince Bernie to do, specifically because he knew it was his best chance at the general election, but he wouldn't go for it, and his wife said Bernie will not be a spoiler)
>>

NE-2 is 'leans R', and is the only vote classified that way?

Clinton/Cruz would have been 'lean R', because very few people around here want to vote for either of them. Sanders/Trump would have been 'lean R', because Sanders could actually put up some competition.

Clinton/Trump, though, seems like a very safe R.
