I go to Venezuela a lot because of my job,Caracas used to have a bustling nightlife with a lot of people in the streets,now it's completely empty at night because every since this crisis started,Caracas turned into one of if not the most violent city in the world,with 116 murders per 100,000 people
Their government is getting fucking insane,instead of helping the people they're trying to threaten Brazil since we're impeaching the president who gave them billions of dollars in aid
We used to have Venezuelan military do security for us in the consulate there,but now we have Brazilian soldiers armed to the teeth since we don't know when the Venezuelans might try something
The people are getting tired,some of them stand in front of the consulate with Brazilian flags asking us to let them in,because they have nothing in there anymore
The country is literally running out of money,they can't print more because they don't have enough money to buy paper,and with the inflation at 2.200% people can't buy anything if they don't carry cases full of money at all times
The water is also out in most of the country,only upper class homes,hotels and government buildings still have a stable source of water,but you pay a lot of money to get it
