The people are suffering because of excessive taxation that goes to a government that cant/won't take care of them.

The authorities in the Robin Hood stories subject the impoverished populace to over-taxation in order to subsidize the extravagant, luxurious lifestyles of the corrupt monarch and his henchmen (the Jewish elite, if you want to take this analogy in /pol/'s direction). Robin Hood gives back to the poor the money that was stolen from them by a government that exists without the consent of the governed. He is no thief.
