So I always find social politics pretty fun and interesting.
Here's the low down: I'm 5'2 (yes I know ubermensh status Manlet), I work a pretty alright job (finance) and I'm pretty well liked by my peers etc (might be my personality compensating for my height). However, I've noticed that sometimes people don't take me as seriously and that at certain points, dating has been stagnant (I've been bluntly told I'm too short). I mean at a certain point, should height be looked past or is it a never ending cycle were height is a defining characteristic in our society today?

As a white man even 5'8 is pretty much too short. The average male height in Australia is 5'10-5'11 and that's with manlet Chinese and Indians dragging the average down.
For white guys, most are around 6'0 to 6'1 so that's where you have to be to not be short.

I was always treated like shit before I got to a normal weight (Used to weigh 105lbs at 6'0). Now I weigh 180 and my peers stopped talking to me like a fucking newborn; they also include me in their plans like I'm a friend of them, not a toddler you have to carry around.
