The United States is not an ethnic nation, it was founded based on secular ideals with no racial or ancestral basis. Blacks are just as American as whites are, their ancestors were here when the nation was founded and they helped shape its culture. Integration was inevitable because forcibly separating people everywhere is simply counterproductive to the growth of a society.

I think that uninformed voters and ignorance is becoming the death of us, and what we need is improved education. I wouldn't complain if current voters had to be tested on the candidate they're voting on. If you don't know Bernie Sander's or Trump's or Clinton's positions, why would you vote for them? This will encourage people to at least know a bit about their candidate. Also our schools are in terrible shape and they need an improvement. Testing voters is just a temporary solution. If you want a true democracy where every citizen can participate, improve your education so every citizen's vote can be more informed than the last generation's
If we have a populace of people who are willing to vote but aren't willing to use critical thinking when it comes to politics, we have utterly failed at teaching them core fundamentals that would stick through adulthood. And critical thinking skills is not something people should be losing or lacking.
