I suggest looking into Michael Tsarions work on the Aryans, the "true hinduism" is actually Shaivism, you can either take the Siddhanta and just accept that the Vedas were a necessary evil to protect the society or you can trash the whole thing and go into the tantric Kashmiri teachings, I would suggest doing the former as that former carries with it the most cohesive set of knowledge, it's a pain having to buy the several various Kashmiri texts and with the Siddhanta there is really just one with the Tirumantiram. Kundalini and Kriya yoga are really interesting ways to be meditative, more fun Id say than the one pointed concentration of the Jainas and the Vipassana of the Buddhists but ultimately all the various methods if done correctly will take you to Moksha.
