I recently discovered a mosque in close proximity to my school. I visited it yesterday out of curiosity, and sat in to observe their sermon and prayer.
Afterwards the imam (their version of a priest/preacher) approached me, and invited me to return with a list of whatever questions I may have about islam.
Now I'm not really pro-islam, or anti-islam, so I couldn't think of much. But I couldn't think of a place better than /pol/ to find some really tough, challenging questions for this guy, so here's the deal:
You all give me your questions. I'll compile a list from this thread, bring it to the imam, and return to /pol/ to tell you his answers/reaction.

Taqiyya is definitely going on the list, but historically speaking, it's pretty common for religious minorities to be persecuted. Unless you can give me something to tie it directly to islam, I think I'll leave that one off.

Maybe a good question is why there are so many arab people in prison, for violent crimes, and why they tend to form really uncomfy ghettos. Poverty is not valid reason, because for example, in Spain, there was and there is poor people, and they tend to other type of crime and, although they are superior in number, arabs are top 1 of people in prison (11% immigrant population in Spain, 35% of immigrant population in Spain's prisons, mostly arabs).

Its a recent phenomenom. A lot of the arab terrorism (namely palestinian) is caused rather by nationalism and revanchism than jihadism.
