Democrats realized from before the start of the election season that they were losing interest and trust from millenials and the general audience of young people due to many debacles and slip-ups over the last 5 years. Obama failing on his campaign promises, bombing the shit out of civilians in Iraq via drones, Obamacare being utterly shitty, Benghazi, etc. etc.The 2014 congressional election was the final wake-up call for them, as now Republicans are majority in both the House and the Senate.
Hillary was already the party's first choice for the 2016 election, but now realizing the growing controversy surrounding her (the emails) they needed some way to keep the increasingly distrusting young-vote.
In comes Mr. Bernie Sanders, independent and self-proclaimed socialist (now "democratic socialist"). The party knew they could play him to their advantage to scoop up the younger audience using this new, trendy idea of socialism in America, some officials encouraging him to join in the race. Once in, they just let him play his campaign for a while- let it gain traction, but not too much traction. They let his take a few hits at the party and the establishment, but in the end they knew he was wholly loyal to them like he was to Obama.
Now we see the fall of Sanders' campaign as he loses more and more, mostly due to the "superdelegates" system.
Now we see Sanders supporters being sweet-talked by favorite personalities to vote for Hilary if Bernie loses.
Now we see the full face of their plot to keep them, the Democratic-establishment, in power.

I really don't know what to believe or who to trust anymore. I wish I was insanely powerful or something, I honestly don't think I would abuse it. I know "absolute power corrupts absolutely", but I really do think if I had power over the forces that be, I would sincerely try to create a better world.
I don't see how someone could live with themselves as a puppet, trying to gain the people's trust and feeding off their hope like Sanders has done to millions of people. It's sick and disheartening. There is no integrity with these people.
