HUGE BOOST FOR INDIANA

TRUMP IS FUCKED

Fuck off, shills. Endorsements don't do shit.

An establishment party member endorsing someone other than Trump is about as effective as a movie star calling Trump racist/sexist/whatever. It's predictable, obvious, and overplayed. It's ceased to have any effect.

Just like walker in Wisconsin, right?
>>
>>72434477
These official endorsements never have any effect. Every single time, the person officially endorsing the candidate has already been shilling for that candidate for months, anyway. I'm always like, "Wait didn't you already endorse him"?
>>
>>72434693
Walker didn't convince anyone in Wisconsin to vote Cruz.

Wisconsin is just a Cruz state.
>>
>>72434858
That not what the polls said 2 weeks out. With Walker's endorsement and his campaigning, the tides were turned in Wisconsin. If Cruz loses Indiana the race is over, so pence's endorsement is huge for this tight race.
>>
>>72434956
Tell me, until now, has Walker been keeping his mouth shut about the race, or has he been talking about how Trump must be stopped? Sincere question. My guess is that it's the latter, in which case this changes nothing.

>Polls haven't been right all election.

They have, though. The polls this season have been very on point. A few couldn't really be trusted, but they all indicated an outcome that was consistent with the recent polling.

Trump seems to under perform his polling for most of this race, untill NY and the rest of the NE voted, where he massively over performed. but for predicting a winner, the polls have been good.

Pence is an idiot. He's trying to do to Indiana what Brownback did to Kansas: crater the local economy and drive it into deep debt with cuts, cuts, cuts.

Ohio's economy has taken off like a rocket compared to Indiana. Indiana is stuck in neutral.

In this election, I think you're right. Usually everyone is "in" the Establishment, and endorsements are used by smaller groups within the Establishment to push their mini-agendas or views of how things should be done.

But this time, it is only Establishment vs NonEstablishment. Therefore these kinds of endorsements can help trump either way:

-- Establishment endorse Cruz --> win for Trump because that's expected and is his whole campaign anyway.
-- Establishment endorse Trump -- > also win because they're surrendering.

Saying there's been a consistent underperformance is a bit too on the nose my man.
>>

>That not what the polls said 2 weeks out. With Walker's endorsement and his campaigning, the tides were turned in Wisconsin.

Walker endorsed Ratto the end of march. The polls had already showed him leading by 10 at that point:

FOX Business 3/28 - 3/30 742 LV 3.5 42 32 19 Cruz +10
Loras College 3/28 - 3/29 416 LV 4.8 38 31 18 Cruz +7
Marquette 3/24 - 3/28 471 LV 5.8 40 30 21 Cruz +10

>Trump seems to under perform his polling for most of this race,

No he either outperformed or hit his target in most states:

Alabama, Arizona, NH, Mass, Nevada, Illinois etc

>>

>>
>>72435830
ON the other hand, at this point Cruz's challenge is to prevent his vote from deciding IT'S OGRE!!! and either staying home on election day, or worse (from Cruz's position) jumping on the bandwagon.

Endorsements, the Carley pick -- these things show a campaign that looks still alaive, and can help hold the vote.

Whether they can hold enough of it remains to be seen.

Laying aside who might win and what the aftermath might be, it might at least be worth seeing how an open convention runs. None of us have ever seen one.

>Ryan has adamantly ruled out accepting the Republican nomination. He also said Thursday he has "a much better relationship with Sen. Cruz" than Boehner.

> He also said Thursday he has "a much better relationship with Sen. Cruz" than Boehner.

> He also said Thursday he has "a much better relationship with Sen. Cruz" than Boehner.

Trump was also golf buddies with Rand as well.

And he supported and donated to ROMNEY and Ratto both.

Ratto is also supported openly by Jeb Bush, Graham, Carly "Cruz is just another politician lying his ass off" Fiorina etc.
>>

>>72436567

>>
>>72436944
Why? Cruz is not getting elected. Even if I did look up some bullshit he did as a senator, it is moot because he is not in the race.
>>
>>72437066
He is though. This is how the republican nomination works: You need a majority of the delegates to become the republican nominee. If you fail to reach said majority the delegates who have been elected by the people will come together and continue voting until there is a majority candidate. This process is ment to find the best candidate that represents the republican party.

Ted cruz is denying trump the majority, so in Cleveland he can convince the delegates not to back cruz, but instead vote for him.

So yea, this endorsement matters, since it can deny trump the needed delegates from reaching 1237. Since this is a winner-take-all state and the polling indicates a very tight race.
>>
>>72437387
The nomination does not matter. He is not getting elected whether he wins nomination through magic or not.

Hillary or whoever they will replace her with will win 100%.
>>
>>72437597
I'll be the first to admit that Cruz polls very poorly against clinton. But trump polls a lot worse. With trump winning the nomination Arizona and Utah become purple, that's insane. Cruz has at least a long shot at the presidency.
>>
>>72437387

Ratto isn't denying him shit:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/29/upshot/donald-trump-doesnt-need-indiana-anymore.html

And no the endorsement does not matter at all.The Walker endorsement did not matter and he was more liked than Pence.Try again.
>>
>>72437744
I am not talking about polls, he is not going to win even if he was polling good. I mean it's pretty absurd idea that he was polling good, but just for the sake of an argument I'd accept that hypothetical. He'd still not win. He doesn't have a long shot, he has no shot. Literally none.

Lets hope that Cruz becomes the repub. nominee, I want you to see what I mean unfolding with your own eyes.
>>
>>72437776
Yeah, from the last stink of Trumps wins he no longer needs Indiana. But Cruz does. If cruz loses Indiana there is no stopping trump.

Cruz need to win Indiana then go on and win a lot of CA.
>>
>>72437597
This all day long.

You don't need polling data to see that there is nothing about Cruz that attracts moderate and independent voters. Voters any candidate sorely needs to win the general.
>>
>>72437969
So you're talking about your feelings about a race half way across the world from you? Every shred of evidence we have to this point indicates trump losing horribly in November. Lucky to win 10 states.

Not really. Trump is leading every single poll, including the Clout push poll.

In every contest so far except the home state contests (OH, TX, NY), the only cases where Trump lost the state but was leading in the polls were:
>caucuses
>Idaho (shitty polls)
>Oklahoma (Texas Jr)

Indiana is a
>primary with
>multiple polls that are relatively consistent
>nowhere near Texas

This is California's last chance to redeem itself.

This will be the last reality check needed before the convention, which even the GOP realizes is a party-killer if they end up with a contested one.

Trump wins, Cruz gets his shit slapped (because face it, "Rato" is probably going to stick to him like it was welded to his forehead) and possibly even ends up booted in the next election cycle for his seat.

Firiona if anything bought Cruz 15 minutes of attention, but it's the same kind of attention an old man gets when he shits himself all the way down the grocery aisle. Fascinated disgust.

Is he popular at all in Indiana?

Don't worry Trump is already leading there by 20 points.

Now kill yourself.

Wow, you missed the point, big time.

Campaigns (and voter support) evolve as we get closer to the actual election; particularly when we transition from the primaries, to the general. Maybe Trump looses. Maybe he looses the general by double digits. My point is it's impossible for any poll to accurately reflect this at this stage of the election because there are factors in play now, that won't be come October/November.

These polls were always relevant as to who had more strength against the same opponent, and by this point in time they are accurate predictors of who wins 2/3 of the time.
