But that's bullshit. Early in Operation Barbarossa Germans were getting so many Soviet POWs that they couldn't even count them all. One battle had 100,000 troops surrender. 100,000. That is the size of a whole nation's defensive force.

By 1945 the Germans were on the ropes with not conceivable way out. The Soviets had their asses handed to them for much of the war and lost many more men than the Germans.
