Yes they are M240Bs, SAWs are nearly 15 pounds lighter. M240 or "The Pig" is only mean't to be shot from prone due to its weight, which is about 35-37 pounds.

No those are both m240s, probably m240b's specifically. The m249 is a full 5-10 lbs lighter, and much shorter. It also has a magazine well, uses a different bipod, a different rear sight aperture, different barrel length, and different stock. They are very different weapons.

-S2/Intel: dumb as a brick; can recite every single report of an attack or a suicide bomber moving into the province but is mentally incapable of getting to the "so what?" of the information, so she's pretty useless
-Medical Operations: her entire job consists of moving little Clipart graphic of a MEDEVAC helicopter around on a map on powerpoint. An E1 private could do her job her she is a Captain.
-Staff Judge Advocate: every single time ever I go to confer with her about whether we can drop a bomb on something, she just ends up calling the main legal office anyway and asking for help, pretty useless.
-Several Fire Support Officers: incapable of effectively planning how to use indirect fire, fixed wing and rotary wing assets. My CG busts my balls all the time because they turn in the crazy plans that make it seem like we are going to drop bombs all over the place when they are generally only supposed to be used for self defense and I end up having to fix virtually everything.

After a year and a half they were doing their final walkthrough of the boat with the CO (Last step before you earn your Warfare Pin, means you know the ins and outs of every machine on the boat).

I can understand a man not doing so well on a march because he's a conscript. Women are there out of their own will, but they just made things so much harder for the rest of us. Didn't do any favors that they kept getting preferential treatment like that from the officers all the fucking time.
Oh and on an unrelated note, all but one of the women became nco trainees and half of that number became officer trainees, some of them in infantry companies. They're going to get men killed in a real war.

first of all the physical element is not the only thing that matters and 9/10 they will fail that regardless when subject to the same standards of men. In the field you need to be able to realistically carry someone significantly heavier than you back to safety, an extremely difficult feat for men let alone women
Second, men behave differently when around women, similarly to maternal instincts with mothers and their children, men biologically feel they need to protect women and this is observable and is a crux in the strategic element that needs to be dominant in a dynamic combat environment where this kind of behaviour can get you killed.
Third, social cohesion is incredibly important and the only way you can form an effective platoon, and specifically unit is to bond, and that bonding often comes from having things in common with each other, similarities. I have seen men take shits in MRE bags in moving patrols and piss out windows, not sure how this would go down with women around.
