I'm from England but the money is being wasted. Looking at the Northern Ireland economy, it's does not exist in any good way or form. It checked out the news channels and it's losing thousands of jobs and lots of young people seem to be leaving which will create a brain drain. The new jobs are mostly call centers. Yes it fucking does, Protestant Scotland allied with Cromwell, he didnt conquer it. The Commonwealth of England and the later Commonwealth of England, Scotland and Ireland (the protectorate) were two different things. At no point was Scotland annexed to England.

Yes, Scots had spread from Lothian (the English speaking part of England conquered by Scotland, remember) across most of the lowlands by the time of James VI (James IV being the last to speak Gaelic) that doesn't mean the people suddenly became English as soon as they adopted the language you idiot

Wrong, Ghalldachd is a neologism that emerged after the post Union of the Crowns liguistic divide. Gall means stranger actually, and as I said lowland Scots didnt magically become English after they adopted the language. Only Lothian was "muh Anglo-Saxons".
