Look at this building /pol/ it is awe inspiring, it's a mosque, which by nature makes the inside even better than the beauty of it from the outside, the most peaceful place in the world. Yes, it was once a church, but never again. Istanbul is a Muslim city, and always will be.
When /pol/ is asked why white people have a right to call North America home, they say "right of conquest," why is this different, Muslims conquered this jewel of a city, so according to /pol/ it is rightfully a Muslim city.
You aren't hypocrites are you guys?

I went to Istanbul a few summers ago and did all of the touristy shit.
The blue mosque smells like feet.
Might be given its original name in our lifetime!

Ok, kiwi, nice bait.
The geometrical art is pretty cool though.

Modern Islam and the House of Saud that rules it had nothing to do with this. You want to see the fruits of modern Islam, look at the garish hotels the Bin Laden family has built over these historical sites.

Same as church towers just without bells, they would have people going up calling everyone when it is time to pray. Having more than one is kind of wank off.
>>72325067
This is true.
It was turned into a museum by Ataturk, who created the modern secular Turkish state. OP is a troll, but what's cool about Ataturk's legacy is that he preserved stability and prevented hateful sectarian interests from dominating. The Middle East needs these kinds of leaders again, though the US has been busy deposing them wherever possible and replacing them with fucking chaos and no planning.

wasnt that building built by the bizantines?
>>72324501
"jewel of a city" been there, it smells like shit, the traffic is more clogged than indian shitting streets, and the entire city is filled with filthy men trying to sell you trash.
"Jewel of a city"
Constantinople WAS a jewel of a city.
Istanbul IS a cesspit reminiscent of the industrialization.
>>72324501
It was built as a church, then the shitskins turned up, built some minarets and called it a mosque
>>72327182
Turkey is turning it back into a mosque
