GMOs arent bad
GMO patents are fucking real bad news & Orwellian level bullshit
Where does the CEO live? Just uh, curious.
>Kevlar tires necessary for tractors harvesting GMO corn.

This is all bullshit.
Many companies produced Agent Orange.
Plant Patent Act ...is from 1930.
Take everything OP said and reverse it.

I think everyone agrees the technology is a major opportunity, but ruined by who's in control of it.

we already had this thread a few weeks back.
As I remember, the East India Company was voted most evil in history.

>Has the FDA, EPA, and Federal Government by the balls
>Has connections within the government itself
aka every big company.
>Regularly fucks American farmers in the ass
Every big case people bring up are farmers who lied and got caught. -farmer
>Has a monopoly on agricultural biotechnology
no, I can grab my seed catalog and list companies they compete with. Yes of course they lease out some of their technology and it's popular to do so, but that's not the same.
>Bullies farmers who don't follow their contract
Mind if I sign a contract with you? Sounds like you're all for breaking contracts. Without contracts our civilization crumbles.
>Responsible for the suicides of thousands of poo-in-loos
wut, seriously interested in what you're referencing
>Exploits shitty patenting laws to keep their specific genotypes indefinitely
I agree patent/IP law needs to be re-done.
>Shills relentlessly on the internet
Don't agree with a point? You're a shill :^)
>Responsible for the slow decline in Bee populations (Roundup-ready crops, crops producing their own pesticides)
Roundup has nothing to do with bees, crops that produce 'their own pesticides' don't effect bees. An example would be worms in corn ears/roots.
>Responsible for weeds developing herbicide resistance
How is monsanto at fault for this? It's actually cheap roundup knockoff brands, plus people who don't spray a high enough dosage. If you just stunt the plant then you have issues developing.
>Responsible for bovine growth hormone, which makes cow milk and meat shitty
They were first to get approval, but not the only one. Later selling their business
>>72281908
if you're going to do this at least repost the ones from the last thread we've had on this

>Monsanto
>Has connections within the government itself
aka every big company.
no Monsanto is special. and other than bank/oil there isn't that many 'big' companies that are linked to u.s. government.
>Bullies farmers who don't follow their contract
>Mind if I sign a contract with you? Sounds like you're all for breaking contracts. Without contracts our civilization crumbles.
pretty sure he meant Monsanto coerce the farmers into signing bad contract they can't get out of. it is like the indian farms, forced to buy their seedless products.
and their production of Agent Orange can be comparable with genocide crime.
>>72285535
>coerce the farmers into signing bad contract
I didn't know we were coerced when we signed our contract. We were happy to be able to plant their seed.
You're not forced to buy their product. What is required depends on the seed you buy. Most just have a minimum acreage and simply say you cannot re-sell this to someone else (since they didn't sign the contract). There are some that require you to plant other types of plants nearby to help with pollination or other things but we have yet to deal with those.
>>72284558
well those terms do actually stifle competition.
For being a board that seems to like a free-market approach, wouldn't you want someone like google to be pushed to make their OS better or give the opening for a better OS from someone else to jump in?
>>72282874
aaand you're on a list..
>inb4 Monsanto shills come in the thread right on cue
