Tho to be honest I'd leave Russia out of it (at least initially). Yes, it's far more powerful then any other slavic country (probably even all combined), but that's exactly the problem - we'd all become puppet states to the next soviet union, which is the exact opposite of the initial goal. Western Europe can not co-exist in a union with Eastern Europe. Many Eastern Euros do not want a union with Russia.
The nations in >>72232872 & >>72237549 all have relatively similar economic and social situations, share a deep distrust of foreign powers/are highly protective of their independence and identity.
And a union is needed because otherwise they can't hope to compete economically or militarily with their neighbors.
