American here. I live in a 90%+ white county. Used to live in a liberal shithole in the north when I was a kid.
Going back every year solely for the food showed me what the difference is. My hometown has been overrun by minorities and subsequently went to utter shit. The reason we moved was that we saw that happening while we were still there, violent crime and taxes raising constantly to accomidate the nonwhites lifestyles. Each year I go back its even more shit, and pretty soon all my food holes are going to unavailable to me because of the type of crowd around them.
There is a definite problem. Most of school children here are no longer white. My parents took the white flight option and moved somewhere better, but those places are running out. The United States is being slowly overtaken in a genetic/territorial war.
Well, in defence of them, they were like 90% white untill about the 70s, so the process of browning hasn't gone on for long enough yet in order to completely erase their identity (give it 20 more years if things don't change). If you say "american" to most people, chances are they'll imagine a white person, maybe a dindu at worst.

BUT
much of 'hispanics' are actually of primary European descent, as well. The majority of mexicans have very little aztec blood. Not a huge majority, but something like 53% of Mexico is ~80% european.
so, overall whiteness in the US could be in the high 70s still. Maybe more. It's fairly difficult to quantify, with our porous borders and gigantic landmass.
