As someone that's actually smashed a glass bottle across someone's face, the entire bottle doesn't shatter and I used a wine bottle. The top of the bottle was left in my hand and I threw that at the cunt that was causing problems. The sound is similar, the impact noise is similar although mine was a bit more "hollow" sounding when it hit the person. Red wine as well, the cunt started screaming and crying (was a nigger, when I was on my way home from the off licence). Blacks have very tough skin but if you manage to cut it, they scar permanently, the one getting hit in the video is very thin, boney. So a glass striking him near his chin or a boney part of his face will shatter if enough force is applied. It's even easier if the glass bottle is empty, if it's full then it takes a lot more force to crack it unless you manage to strike your enemy with the middle of the bottle.
