Lots of research funding comes from the federal government (NSF, NIH, etc.) and if liberals keep getting elected there, they will continue to funnel money into social studies at universities. Plus, most college administrators are liberals, and it's not like these programs have to turn a profit to stay in business.

The real issue though, is that the people taking bullshit courses in womens studies, sociology, anthropology, etc are not majoring in these fields. They're taking them as easy bullshit electives. The universities and instructors KNOW they're easy elective credits, and they use the opportunity to brainwash students. In many universities, included the one I attended, you had to take certain elective credits from across a breadth of fields, regardless of your major. So you had to pick a couple credits from some soft sciences field, etc.
The point I'm getting at is that people majoring in these bullshit fields is not required. They just force them as part of the curriculum, more or less, by requiring students to take soft science SJW bullshit classes. So basic economics of supply and demand for womens studies don't apply when they're forcing it.
