Are passenger flights really safe /pol/?
>>72109685
Yes, but subhumans like slavs shouldn't be allowed to operate nuclear reactors.
France, for example, gets 75% of its electricity from nuclear
USA gets 20%, but thanks to the """green""" movement new reactors aren't being built even as these reactors reach the end of their life cycle and we will have to rely more on fossil fuels.

False equivalents. The damage from those wont linger for 100s of years like chernoybl. One fuckup is all it takes to irradiate 1000s of square miles for 100s of years. I dont understand how anyone could defend using nuclear energy

Our experimental reactor from that era fares pretty well, thank you very much.

>linger for 100s of years like chernoybl
but they do happen way more often
also, is shitposting really safe /pol/??
>>72109685
Yes, considering fossil fuels have caused an insanely higher number of deaths in aggregate.

>One fuckup is all it takes to irradiate 1000s of square miles for 100s of years.
Yet you feel comfortable with gifts of chemical industries, despite the fact that their disasters are not only much more frequent, but also kill far more people and render their surroundings about as habitable as frontlines.
>>72109685
Daily reminder that more people have died in the production of coal derived power the last ten years then all people who have died from nuclear derived power in its entire history
>>72110688
And? a plane crash isnt going to make an area uninhabitable or 1000s of years. A terrorist attack on a nuclear plant wouod destroy the entire country at the very best

Yes, read up on why Chernobyl happened. Essentially the offshift guys performing a test, looking like pic related as things escalate more and more.

Fun fact: when radioactive water from japan finally reached amercian shore USA made radioactivty standarts for sea water higher.
So it's ok you just pretend radioactivity is not harmful

You must be baiting. The kind of leftardism required for believing such thoughts would make exposure to /pol/ lethal for such a person.
>>72111172
Of course it is.
Unless you are not a melanin-enriched superhuman, that is!
Chernobyl was full retard Soviets with no containment structure and totally reckless operators
Nuclear is safe and clean but the existing reactors we have from the 70's and 80's are aging and use old designs. There are working designs for modern reactors that are even safer and cleaner, and won't melt down even in a complete failure of all power and cooling.
We need to phase out the existing reactors and replace them with the modern ones, but anti-nuclear shilling by the oil/gas/coal industries have made it extremely difficult to get through all the red tape to build new reactors.

Look at the area now. Beautiful wildlife and home for many animals everywhere. It shows what happens once we can't reach some place.

It's dangerous, but we're figuring out ways to utilize it besides tank shells.
>>72109685
Yes it is. Slavs and their corner cutting are the catalyst for disaster
>>72110931
A "plane crash" was the official reason as to why the Middle East got fucked up at the turn of the millennium. So yeah plane crashes can have a long lasting effect in a way
>>72109685
easily
provided well known safety measures are in place and it is funded and managed by people who are accountable for its safety and well running but NOT its bottom line
>>72109685
Considering that only some 60 people died in total , I would say it's pretty damn safe
