(7-3)^2 = 16 and (2+2)^2 is 16. Also, (7-3)(2+2) = 16
a^2 - b^2 is just the statement of the additive inverse property. Which is 0, since (a + b)(a - b) = b(a - b), which is essentially saying 4(0) = 0.
