Hell just last night we saw Trystane Martell agree to honorable combat against an assassin only to be IMMEDIATELY and LITERALLY stabbed in the back. But the ultimate point of all these betrayals and schemes and machinations is that they ultimately blow up in everyone's faces and in the end it's only those "naive" honorable and noble characters that the series shits on that are the only thing standing between Westeros and certain doom.
