Dan Jarvis?

Yeah I know him by that name. Hell, I worked with him in Afghan. Back then we called him 'Paki Pulveriser' Jarvis because he never came out of a tunnel without a scalp, an ear, or covered with blood.

Most would call him insane, but that is why the Paras trained him. They saw potential. It wasn't until they learned his methods that they truly realised what a monster they created.

You see, most guys that go tunnel clearing take guns. Not Dan. No, he took knives, clubs, hatchets, sometimes nothing but his bare hands. After a few missions I got a chance to talk to him in the mess. He was wearing his blood stained hat, sunglasses, and combat fatigues, smoking a cigarette and drinking Johnny Walker black. It was contraband, but you NEVER told Dan what he could and couldn't do.

I asked him why he never took guns with him. He lowered is head and took a long slow draw from his hand rolled cig, pulled off his sun glasses and looked me right in the eyes, piercing my soul.

"I do it out of respect. Respect for the white race. These goat fucker scum bags don't deserve the mercy of a British made bullet, but the slow torturous death of the hands of a British man!"

In a flash he pulled out his weathered, but razor sharp knife and stopped just short of sticking my gut.

There is nothing glorious about the EU. It puts the agenda of corporate lobbyists and international bankers above its own people. It has turned the continent that used to rule the earth into an economic basketcase. It has no military history, except the mess it left behind in Yugoslavia that NATO had to clean up. It allows itself to be blackmailed by Turkey, bullied by Russia, and hordes of endless millions of muslims to march unopposed from Syria and Libya to Calais. No great works of art, no literature or architecture have been produced throughout its history. It is weak, dishonourable, shameful, mediocre, degenerate, worthless.

Study the history of Greece, Rome or the British Empire if you want to know what glory is.

Margaret Thatcher had Irish ancestry yet she was fucking brutal in Northern Ireland.

I get it. You're obsessed with race. But at this point you just fumbling round looking for something to dismiss the Scottish and Northern Irish pro-EU votes with. There's no actual substance to it.

>What stake do they have in British nationalism? And why should I care?

You should care because your travelling circus of a foreign ministry is going around the world begging for trade deals. Right now, you've proven yourselves to be a totally unreliable business partner - why would anyone do business with you let alone prioritise you over the much larger market you just left?

As in the second richest economy on the planet that was a pile of smoking rubble 70 years ago? You could do a lot worse.

The EU's far from perfect and a lot of its shit annoys me, particularly with Turkey and Russia seizing Crimea, but if they actually did something about those two no doubt you'd be reeeeee-ing in brit/pol/ about how the EU has no right to act in such a manner. They can't win.

> You failed to note the lack of revenue-raising powers, centralised command of unified armed forces, no clear head of state or prime minister, no finance minister, Member States can have an independent foreign policy, no single currency etc.

You should probably read the 5 presidents report. That's all to come.

> In the medium term (Stage 2), the convergence process towards more resilient economic structures, as described above, should become more binding. This would be achieved by agreeing on a set of common high-level standards that would be defined in EU legislation, as sovereignty over policies of common concern would be shared and strong decision-making at euro area level would be established. In some areas, this will need to involve further harmonisation. In other
areas, where different policies can lead to similarly good performance, it will mean finding countryspecific solutions. The common standards should focus primarily on labour markets, competitiveness, business
environment and public administrations, as well as certain aspects of tax policy (e.g. corporate tax base). Progress towards these standards would be monitored

>Now that one of us is out, we're in an unprecedented situation as regards the CTA and the Ireland-Northern Ireland border will be an external EU frontier, which means Frontex controls.

For the time being you're still in control of your external borders. There's nothing stopping us from continuing it especially since you're not in Schengen. Fontex is there for the borders under unwanted pressure, you know that. If Germany can invite 1.5 million refugees into Europe and impose them on the member states, you can ignore the border with NI.

If it does end up being out of your hands, then you need to ask yourself why this sort of thing is out of your hands to begin with. This is why things like sovereignty are important.

Not even close to true. Countries are not teenage girls. Our new trade ministry has already confirmed "a list of ten economic powerhouses, including India, China, Japan, Australia, and Canada have already committed informally to forming strong trade deals with the UK." The US also has a bill in congress to start negotiations in tandem with their EU deal.

Another one of the nonsensical claims debunked during the referendum campaign, by the way.

Much to the delight of brti/pol/ I've to go so this will be my last post.

It really depends if you stay in the EEA or not. If you do, then there could be something like the Norwegian/Swedish border where checks are done in advance of the actual border itself as both markets will still be compliant with EU law. I suppose for Northern Ireland, this could be effected by having customs checks in the airports and ferry ports linking NI to Great Britain, but good luck selling that to the unionists.

If you want to "reclaim sovereignty" and leave the EEA totally, then it's an external EU border on a par with, say, the Polish border with Russia. It's simply impossible under EU law to have an uncontrolled external border. It would undermine the EU standards set if you could just walk into the Union from outside it unhindered and sell whatever non-EU compliant goods you please.

This isn't my area of expertise obviously, but even from my point of view I can tell the idea of the CTA surviving a hard brexit is pure fantasy. An informal agreement trumping EU treaties? Come on. Wishful thinking.

>then you need to ask yourself why this sort of thing is out of your hands to begin with.

Well that's simple, we got together with a bunch of other European countries, agreed some common rules and put them into effect.

I think the difference between you guys and us re the EU is that we've had at least 8 referendums on the EU (from memory), so we've had to keep ourselves informed on it as we go along. We're generally pretty clued in about what our place is in it.

>>81418438

One thing that is often neglected is that, if we had invoked Particle 50 on day one, we would have gone to negotiating tables with nothing.

Now if we wait for a bit, not least for Departments to get set up, civil servants in place, plans to be made we also have an array of countries clambering to make trade deals with us. This gives us more power at a negotiating table as it doesn't show dependence on the EU.

Does May actually have the power to block a Scottish referendum? The Westminster parliament can try to ignore sexit, or declare it non-binding, or fight to hold the country together by force - but I don't think they have the legal framework to stop the Scots from trying to split off.

Ukip leadership debates are only relevant if the UK stays in the EU - ukip's entire purpose in existing is to suck money from the Eurotit. Take away the eurotit and they'll move on to another con.

Yes they do. The Westminster parliament is the highest legal authority in the UK. If they don't give them a new referendum, they don't get one. Since the Tories currently hold a majority, they simply block it.

Scotland can't decide to do it whenever they want.

The UK government approved the last referendum IIRC and would have to sanction another. The SNP could just go ahead and have one if they wanted to, but it wouldn't be legally binding in any way.

The SNP have just been posturing since the referendum. The "remain in the EU" voters don't necessarily correlate with people who'd want Scottish independence, despite what they've been pushing. Their scheme all along has been to convey and maintain an illusion of power. They're not pushing for a second independence referendum currently because they know they have no chance of winning that vote. There can't feasibly be any division when dealing with the EU, so the only other option for their agenda is increased influence at Westminster.

Troublemakers, the whole fucking lot of them.

It was contraband, but you NEVER told Corbyn what he could and couldn't do.

I asked him why he never took Blairites with him. He lowered is head and took a long slow draw from his hand rolled cig, pulled off his sun glasses and looked me right in the eyes, piercing my soul.

"I do it out of respect. Respect for the socialist principles. These beady eye'd scum bags don't deserve the mercy of a Blairite Labour Party, but the slow torturous death of the governance of a socialist Labour Party!

Ellipsis Poster? Yeah I know him by that name. Hell, I worked with him in Brit/pol/. Back then we called him "Retarded Paki" because he never came out of a thread without a shitpost, several ellipsis, and crying about YKTD.

Most would call him insane, but that is why /pol/ trained him. They saw potential. It wasn't until they learned his methods that they truly realized what a monster they created.

You see, most guys that shit up threads take bait. Not Ellipsis Poster. No, he took ellipsis, YKTD hate, poorly thought out posts, and sometimes nothing but his bare shitposts. After a few missions I got a chance to talk to him in Brit/pol/. He was wearing his blood stained hat, sunglasses, and combat fatigues, smoking a cigarette and drinking cider. It was contraband, but you NEVER told Ellipsis Poster what he could and couldn't do.

I asked him why he never properly used ellipsis. He lowered is head and took a long slow draw from his hand rolled cig, pulled off his sun glasses and looked me right in the eyes, piercing my soul.

"I do it out of respect. Respect for the White Race. These beady eye'd Remain shills don't deserve the mercy of a properly used ellipsis, but the slow torturous death of the improper ellipsis of a Somerset man!"

In a flash he pulled out his weathered, but razor sharp ellipsis and stopped just short of sticking my gut. "The look in their eyes when I slip this baby into their swollen, Hitchens filled threads is reason enough. To see the last lights flick off in their heads as they see a real thread killer work."

Okay, so basically Scotland can go ahead and call a referendum that's exactly as legally binding as the Leave/Remain vote was. If Scotland also votes Leave, that puts the Government in the rather uncomfortable position of having to say that nationalism means nationalism for *Me* and not for *Thee*.

>There can't feasibly be any division when dealing with the EU
Why not? Division weakens Leave. If Scotland wants to Remain, Scotland benefits from division.

HITCHENS ON SUNDAY

http://hitchensblog.mailonsunday.co.uk/2016/07/peter-hitchens-sorry-but-i-wont-be-saluting-the-dimmest-cabinet-in-our-history.html

Despite all the flag-waving fuss in 1997, when Labour Party employees were bussed into Downing Street and told to pretend to be a crowd, we’ve had more or less the same government since 1990 – pro-EU, high-spending, politically correct and broadly approved of by Michael Heseltine.

If the millions who voted to leave the EU had had a party, it would have been the opposite of all that, and we’d have had a huge political change.

As it is we have to make do with Mrs May, who personally opposes her government’s main aim of leaving the EU.

And, knowing she is unlikely to deliver what the Leave majority wanted, she has cunningly provided some satisfying street theatre – plenty of heads rolling, some new faces, a furniture van in Downing Street and poor old David Davis, who she no doubt hopes will fail to get us out of the EU, so that she can sack him and do a deal with Brussels that keeps us in, in all but name.

From the Scottish perspective WESTMINSTER is the unaccountable bureaucracy ramming undesired policies through - in particular NewLabour's neoconservatism and Hameron's austerity programme. While it's completely ass-backwards to vote leave.eu to weaken Westminster, it's clear from news coverage that many Leave voters were, in fact, disenchanted with extant policy. When the Tories inevitably fail to undo their last two terms of policy successes, the logical reaction among some will be 'the north shall rise again!'.

I suspect you're also ignoring tactical voters - some of the Leave vote was hardcore nationalists who wanted brexit because that way they could get sexit. An independant Scotland can join the EU *with veto power*, thus giving them much greater self-determination than a Scotland which had turned its veto over to Westminster.

>we sell services
unfortunately, my spam box makes it all too clear that they sell services too.

It was a fair assumption to make. I didn't agree with him (or Hitchens) telling people not to vote, I think it was wrong and as I said earlier in the thread, I disagree with him on many things and have argued with him on these issues. I argued with him regarding not voting on the actual day.

Scotland is, if anything, over-represented in Westminster. They also have devolved powers which the English do not get.

I personally would prefer them gone because I'm tired of hearing their constant ballache. They have a bigger deficit than Greece, and who do you think pays for it all? I'd be amazed if the EU even accepted another leech country who is that much of a financial liability.

England has never stopped them from leaving, or doing anything. We gave them devolution. We gave them a referendum and they voted overwhelming to remain in the United Kingdom. They can't keep having referendums every time the country does something they disagree with. England doesn't need Scotland. We'd just be sad to see them throw away centuries of history because they've become socialist cuckolds - only for them to regret it once Merkel floods them with mandatory refugees.

Of course it does, but you have to make changes at certain stations, but that is the same in Europe.
All I mean is that train tickets are a lot cheaper to purchase in Europe.
The trains are also nicer, in my experience.

How comfy is that. I thought I read something bad about british railways here

Trains here are a little bit extreme, roaming around mountain cliffs and dense rainforests. You get a cabin though.

Quite hilarious, Theresa May is the woman who regularly denied people entry to the UK if they held any views unacceptable to her personally on the grounds they would be not conducive to the public good?

Kekeroo, like some kind of Orwellian hell.

I could not imagine a scenario where Michael Gove were to become Prime Minister. Surely the posh little dweeb understood it would never happen? or did his wife give him a gee up beforehand and trick him into running?

>On the EU, Mr Smith, MP for Pontypridd, suggested the possibility of a second referendum on EU membership, but said it would depend on what kind of deal the UK negotiated on the terms of Brexit.

>He also said it would be "very tempting" for Labour to campaign on a promise not to trigger the Article 50 process "because we are a party that believes in being at the heart of Europe".

>"I don't think we should accept we're on a definite path out. I think we need to make sure people are satisfied," he added.

>"We trusted people, rightly, to take the decision. We can trust them again in 18 months time to check it's absolutely what they wanted."

Do Germans even have emotions?
They fail to understand empathy, and any empathy that is shown is normally proven to be artificial empathy - case and point: refugees.
Hell, I know autistic people that have more empathy and emotion than your average Jerry.
So, do the Krauts have emotions? Are they human?
