I don't do anything wrong. I got in some trouble as a kid and effectively modeled my behavior so as to never come into contact with police ever again. I haven't dealt with a police officer in over 20 years (and it's not like I live in the boonies or something either; I drive over 100 miles a day for my job and live in a major metropolitan area. It really isn't hard to stay out of trouble. It's called following the law.

I used to have a problem with alcohol, so I have lots of experiences with the police.
I quit drinking after I attempted to escape a police officer by driving without my lights on at night. Keyword of that sentence: attempted.
Still smoke cigarettes like a chimney though.
Never had a direct incident with the cops, but one morning I woke up and my car was gone and I panicked. I called the city and thought maybe it got removed for street cleaning, and after awhile it turns out my car got impounded because I forgot to renew my plates for the year (which is a fucking scam if there ever was one if you ask me). So it cost me the $60 ticket and $200 to get my car from the impound. I don't know why he didn't just put a ticket on the windshield, I would have got it done the same day then.

Got pulled over. Put hands at ten and two on my wheel. Policeman comes up and asks for paperwork give him my packet in my top console. Has my insurance registration and concealed carry license. Tell policeman im sitting on my CCW as well as my wallet. I usually get out they put the gun in my car, and i give them my license.
If I get a ticket I get a ticket, if I don't i don't. Policeman don't bother with my weapon. One unloaded it and told me I could reload as soon as I was back in my car.

The best of all my encounters with cops, was a few years ago. I was with a friend in a shitty abondoned mini golf, at night, smoking weed and taking pics of the place.
After 15-20 mins chilling at the minigolf, 5 patrol cars come there, the cops come out and start screaming to us. I explain to the cop in charge, that we where taking pics for a university project of my friend (bullshit, but they buy). They start acting cool with us, (they toght we were some kind of niggers or shit) suddenly i realize we have 5 cop cars in the place, so i ask to the cop if it was ok to us to shoot some pics with them. They say it was ok.
Here is my pic with a female officer fooling around like she is arresting me. Shitty focus cos my friend was high as fuck while taking pic.
After all, the sargent give me his phone number and asked me to send him the pics.
A few weeks later, i was driving smoking weed, the cops stopped me, and when he saw me in the car, let me go with a cool handshake and asked me again the pics.

The last time I was pulled over was about a year ago. I was pulled over for failing to stop at a designated point (I stopped at the stop sign, but was past the line).
The officer asked me why he stopped me to which I replied "probably because my headlight's out." The headlight had been out for a couple weeks but I told him it just blew out that night. He told me it was because he saw me stop after the stop line but the busted light wasn't helping me either.
I wasn't alone. I was with my Filipino friend and his white/Mexican wife. We were all dressed up to attend the wedding of our mutual friend.
I was of course requested to show my license and my proof of insurance, both of which I did not have. I had an ID though. Told the officer that my license had at one point been suspended (DWI) but I had reinstated it, though I just didn't have the physical license on my person (which is mostly true. I did get the license reinstated, but I never got it from the Department of Public Safety). He said he would verify my story when he runs my ID. He also asked me why the car is registered in Taylor, TX, but I live and am driving around Austin. Told him the car was given to my mom from the original owner and she in turn gave it to me. Which is true.
He comes back after running my info and it all checks out. He was even able to confirm that the car has an active insurance coverage. He reminded me that I'm required by law to have a license and proof of insurance on my person when operating a motor vehicle on public roads, told me to get the headlight fixed asap, and to have a good, safe night at the wedding and reception. He let me go with a written warning for the failure to stop at the line.
Nice guy. Older white guy, very pleasant, and he wore the archetypal cowboy hat and aviators (even though it was night out)

First time: cop was an absolute ass from the moment he opened his mouth, and he lied about my speed. Just a ticket and driving school to avoid the point. But honestly I wouldn't mind meeting him in a bar one day and beating the shit out of him.
Second time: visiting an old town I hadn't seen in 10 years. Didn't stop in time for a new stop sign with absolutely no fucking lighting (street lights or light on the sign). Got a ticket but the cop was polite. I do wish I had known you can fight those types of tickets in court. The "city" (if you can call middle of no where a city) should have had a light on the sign. Online driving school to avoid the point, what a waste of fucking time.
Third time: taillight was out. Cop lights my car up with intensity-of-a-thousand-suns spot light. He approaches my window, hand on gun. His partner approaches passenger side, hand on gun. He played 20 questions with me (why are you out so late? what do you do for work?). Then he took my license. "Now is there anything you need to tell me before I run this? Outstanding warrants? Felony convictions?" I'm sitting there wondering WTF is going on.
He comes back cool as a cucumber: "Your left taillight is out. I'm sure you'll fix it so no ticket. Have a nice night and drive safe."
Only thing I can think of is some nigger committed some awful crime that night and drove off in a car matching my car's description.

My brother has gotten pulled over countless times for going 20+ over the speed limit and each time the officer just let him off with a warning.
I go 15 over one time, get pulled over with no previous incidents on my record, and the damn policewoman gives me a 150 dollar ticket.

I had never been in trouble before and they were easily 20-30ft away and out of eyesight. Why would I stick around and risk being charged? This was before weed was legal in my state and the cops are notorious for giving tickets for the most minor things (going 5mph above speed limit). These are cops hired purely to protect a rich neighborhood, crime is all but nonexistent here and they have nothing better to do. Town is Normandy Park, WA. I'm pretty sure an obese person could of made it out in time

The rest of us were silent and spoke only when spoken too. We ask all the cops questions with no hassle and we were free to go.
This was Joliet, Illinois Cops too which parts of are still ghetto as shit. So they have to deal with nigs and spics all the time. One would think they would be more violent but they were not too bad.

I'm deeply suspicious of cops because of the power they wield, and the potential for things to go south quickly even if you're innocent if you catch them on a bad day. I also know that I deal poorly with authority figures and would almost certainly make things worse for myself by being impolite and condescending. That said, in all my dealings with police I have had mostly positive experiences and certainly not unkind ones.
