Remember to participate in /sg/ sings! I have 2 submissions already
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1V263QZo2lH
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0dVRb0dYou2

>What is /sg/ sings?
If you're familiar with /a/ sings, it's sort of like that, but instead of singing anime openings, we'll be singing the anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIWX5coH0pU

>Ok, but what do I do?
If this shit actually goes anywhere, you can record yourself singing it and upload the audio to http://vocaroo.com
if you're a rare flag who's self conscious about his voice, you can paste the vocaroo link in this form https://syriagenerals.wordpress.com/memes/

>B-But I can't sing in Arabic
Not really a problem. When you sing the song, you should put headphones on and play it while you record yourself singing.
if you loose pace, just say what you think is right.

and here is the romanization of the Arabic:

Humat ad diyar alaykum salam
Abat on tadilla nufusol kiram
Arinu alubati bateton haram
Wa arshu shumusi himan laydom

Rubu al shalami burudju eye'la
Tuhaki sama'ah bi'ali sa'neh
Rubu ah shalami burudju eye'la
Tuhaki sama ah'bi ali'sa neh
Fa ardoon zahet bish shumusi widha
Sama unla amruka owkas sama

*Instrumental*

Rafifu Lamani la kafaku Fuwad
Ala aleh mim domma sham lel bilad
Ama Fi-hi min kuli ayn'in sawad
Wa min dami kulli Sha'hiden Midad?

Nufusun ubahtun wa Mahdin Majid
Waru'hu La'dahi rakiboon atid
Nufusun ubahtun wa Mahdin Majid
Faru kula wa hira een un Rajid
Falim la walidu walim la nashid?
Falim la na'sudu walim la nashid?

i'm not saying conquer my nigger, but if they continue in this economic stress much longer they might have another civil war on their hands

>Hey modest kebab, did the armenian genocide really happened?
i don't know for sure, which is why i support erdowies position on this

>Accusing Turkey of committing genocide is a form of execution without trial, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has indicated, while also stating that Ankara is “ready to pay for any misdeed” if an “impartial board of historians” concludes that it was at fault for the events of 1915.
>“We have opened our archive. We have revealed more than one million documents on this. If Armenia also has an archive, then they should open it too. If third countries have archives, they should do the same. Let them study and then let them present their reports to us. Then let’s sit around the table as politicians,” he added, referring to his proposal for the establishment of a joint commission of historians and experts from both Turkey and Armenia to study the events of 1915 together.
>“If the results reveal that we have committed a crime, if we have a price to pay, then as Turkey we would assess it and take the required steps,” Erdoğan said.
ote that armenian refused this offer many times

but so far in my own research i haven't found any reason to blame the ottoman empire with genocide yet, unless you call deportations genocide(which some people(which many "genocide historians" do). of course there is a lot i don't know about the event yet as i haven't been able to research well into near-turkish-history yet

my main problem with pro-armenian genocide people is that they use so many fake photos and information that makes me extremely suspicious of their position, same goes for the kurds

>which is the best argument to deny the armenian genocide

All that sounds like propaganda so I'll take it with a grain of salt.

>>80325686
>but if they continue in this economic stress much longer they might have another civil war on their hands
Maybe, lets see what happens, Russians seem to sacrifice themselves for their state every time though.

>ote that armenian refused this offer many times
Yeah, thats why I distrust the armenians. I don't trust the turks either, but they seem more reasonable.

>but so far in my own research i haven't found any reason to blame the ottoman empire with genocide yet, unless you call deportations genocide
Thats ethnic cleansing, I hate when people confuse the terms. I'm not in favor of ethnic cleansing, but people should use the correct terms.

>my main problem with pro-armenian genocide people is that they use so many fake photos and information that makes me extremely suspicious of their position, same goes for the kurds
Yep, I've also seen that, that's why I being to distrust. I would like to see the ottoman archives, but I think they are only in turkish so I can't read them. Maybe with google translate but its not the same.

It's pretty obvious why he did it. He thought that NATO membership was a carte blanche to do whatever he wanted, but when push come to shove, NATO made very clear that any mess Turkey started against Russia was only hers to pick.
Coupled with the fact the erdogan alienated EVERY country around turkey, and realizing that US support for the YPG would not stop, he did the only rational think he could.

Sad to hear that. Syria is a mess and YPG is needed to stabilize the country, too bad they are direct allies of PKK. What I don't understand is why KRG allow PKK to hold ground on Iraq, they should expel them from there, I guess PUK is allowing them.

This started getting complicated in the late 1970s, when Israel began forming proxy armies (South Lebanese Army for instance). You can study world history for years and never hear a thing about the Lebanese War but as more time passes the more I'm convinced it was a kind of nursery for all the hell that came out of it.

As just one example, the Shi'ites (considered up until then as kind of weird, impoverished yokels) were awakened by Moussa al-Sadr in Lebanon and organized into a political force that even now is still gaining strength.

Likud governments in Israel have always had dreams of being low-key imperialists and creating and manipulating proxies in Arab countries (rather than just dealing with the Jordanians or Egyptians who are malleable but can turn to America if Israel are being dicks). They probably delude themselves that they can back one or another horse and try to build him up like Bachir Gemayel.

The Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Armored Division strategically placed roadside explosives along the Lajat-Sharat Road in northeast Dara’a on Saturday, killing two members of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and wounding several other combatants in the process. A senior officer from the 5th Armored Division told Al-Masdar News on Saturday morning that the roadside explosives were meant to obstruct any Islamist vehicles from traveling towards the Lajat Plateau near the Al-Sweida border. The source added that one of the Jabhat Al-Nusra members was identified as “Imad Al-Delli” from the village of Ghabghab in teh Dara’a Governorate. This attack on Saturday marks the second time in two weeks that the Syrian Armed Forces have carried out a successful ambush against Jabhat Al-Nusra in northeast Dara’a.

>Italian delegation due in Damascus to revive diplomatic relations

Where is the Holland bro that was gathering this kind of news?

An Italian delegation is going to pay an official visit to Damascus over the weekend in order to prepare the ground for the restoration of diplomatic relations between Italy and Syria.

President of Italy’s External Intelligence and Security Agency General Alberto Manenti, who will be heading the delegation, and his entourage will arrive at the Damascus International Airport on Saturday.

They will hold “negotiations concerning the normalization of Italy-Syria bilateral relations, the abolition of European Union (EU) embargos as conditioned by the Syrian government for any possible security cooperation” with high-ranking Syrian officials, Russia al-Youm television reported.

The Italian delegation has already pledged to pave the way for EU-Syria rapprochement as soon as possible.

Earlier this year, a high-ranking Syrian security delegation visited Italy. The delegates, led by head of the Syrian General Security Directorate Mohammed Dib Zaitoun, met and exchanged viewpoints with a number of Italian officials.

>Syria: ISIL Terrorists Execute Soccer Players in Raqqa

Five civilians, including three soccer players, were killed by ISIL's security forces in the capital of the terrorist group's self-proclaimed Caliphate on charges of opposing ISIL's rules and regulations, local sources announced.

"Osama Abu Kuweit, Nahad al-Hussein and Ehsan al-Shavakh, three members of al-Shabab team alongside al-Shabab's trainer Ahamd al-Shavakh and another civilian were beheaded in front of people's eyes in al-Dalah square," the sources said.

Mowafaq Jom'ah, the president of Syria's football federation, condemned massacre of the country's sportsmen.

Intelligence agents revealed on Tuesday that the ISIL terrorist group executed several more of its own fighters on charges of involvement in the assassination of a Non-Syrian top commander of the Takfiri terrorist group few months ago.

"The ISIL has executed 13 of its own members in al-Tala'e garrison near the capital of the self-proclaimed Caliphate," the sources said, adding, "The executed ISIL members had been arrested by the groups' security forces on March 30 on charges of working on a plot to assassinate the terrorist group's Tunisian commander Abu al-Haija."

"Al-Haija had been appointed by ISIL Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi to supervise military operations in Northeastern Aleppo, but was killed in an airstrike."

With the execution of these 13 fighters, the ISIL has killed 51 of its won members on different security charges since April.

Syria govt forces take town east of Damascus on rebel supply route

Syrian government and allied forces took control of a rebel-held town east of Damascus on Saturday, July 9 after a 12-day battle, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, compromising a supply route into opposition territory, accoridng to Reuters.

Maydaa was the easternmost outpost of the rebel-held bloc of territory in Eastern Ghouta and was used as a supply route into the area for weapons and money, the Britain-based Observatory said. It was the last rebel-held bit of territory before the rebel-held town of Dumeir to the east, from which it was separated by a stretch of government-controlled land.

Maydaa had been under the control of the powerful Jaish al Islam rebel faction and was the group's closest position to Dumeir military airport, where they are fighting to displace government forces.

First Russian tourist flight since crisis lands in Turkish resort

The first Russian charter flight carrying tourists to Turkey since a diplomatic crisis erupted eight months ago landed on Saturday in the Turkish resort of Antalya, NTV television said.

The plane carrying 189 tourists landed at Antalya's international airport after President Vladimir Putin last month officially lifted restrictions on tourism to Turkey following the resolving of a crisis sparked by Ankara's shooting-down of a Russian war plane in November.

I don't know how strong that group is but some air support can help things for sure.

Of course no ammount of bombig will make you avoid costly street fighting. They should have been better preparred.

The problem is that america left their pets to die against ISIS.
>>
>>80352107
That is true. It shows that the US is not in control here. Eroding trust when one wants to build influence in the area is pretty much the worst possible thing that can happen.

this is one of the most controversial stories that I want to know about. any recent development in your news?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMIA_bombing
>In an interview with Buenos Aires-based Jewish news agency (Agencia Judía de Noticias) on 2 January 2013, Itzhak Aviran, who was the Israeli ambassador to Argentina from 1993 to 2000, said most of the people behind the AMIA attack were eliminated by Israeli security agents operating abroad. Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor called Aviran's declarations "complete nonsense".[84]
