>implying prohibition works

Why are you so retarded? Why can you not let go of such retarded ideas?

>implying you can stop people from getting high

Fucking morons. Why do you need to project your idiotic values and beliefs on other people?

>implying force is justified because some busy-body bureaucrat thinks you shouldn't be allowed to put certain chemical compounds into yourself

What has the war on drugs achieved? Has it effectively stopped the use of drugs? Has it made drug users turn their lives around? Has it been a massive waste of money? No, no and yes. There are absolutely zero reasons to keep drugs illegal, and the more you try to ban them the more you fail.

The war on drugs was great. It prevented lots of crime such as mugging by putting addicts behind bars. It may not have hit it's goals but it reduced general crime a lot

I'm going to need some citations on that because I think overall it's increased crime due to the black market that has sprung up to supply drugs.

Not to mention prohibition increases the potency of the drugs on the street. They talk about how weed is 40x more potent than what they were smoking in the 70's. That's because of prohibition, you want increased potency because that makes it easier to smuggle. Smuggle small volumes that give the same desired effect. In the US alcohol prohibition same thing happened, less people drank beer and wine and more people drank canadian whiskey because that was easier to smuggle in smaller volumes.

Increased potency = more addicts. People used cocaine for thousands of years in diluted and low potency forms without health problems or addiction, we used to put it in coca-cola and it didn't cause the kinds of problems that refined cocaine and later crack cause now. High purity refined coke creates a stronger addictive effect, more addicts, more crime connected. Unfortunately the cat's out of the bag on cocaine, we'd have been better off if it'd never been banned and was still in coca-cola today in weak forums, if people weren't using refined coke and were just using really mild doses in food and drink.. it wouldn't be causing problems. We can't ever go back to that innocence though.

This.

Nor do we have the right to regulate what someone puts into their own body.

You should watch 'The Wire', your attitude is really fucked up.
Criminalising drugs naturally brings up crime, it brings up addicts, who can't go into treatment if they wanted to seek help. Even more degenerate: they get punished for being in a mentally and physically very bad state, they get judged, and they get put into jail and thus are pretty much destroyed for life. I should't have to mention that this brings up crime.
Everything about the drug criminalisation is bad for society. We should know better than that, but sadly, people rather judge other people than help them.

This is pretty fucking dense senpai

The same applies to guns, alcohol, pornography or anything else.

Why don't we do what the Chinese did for their Opium problem? Anybody who surrender's their drugs will be accepted by the community, re-educated, trained for meaningful work and given a job. Put the rest into work camps, and execute the the ones that can't be saved/pushing this shit.

It reduced crime LOL. Nope just sent it underground. Guess you aren't well versed in street smarts you incompetent fool.

You got any stats on criminals who haven't been caught??

Thought not.

Look at portugal.

They had a huge drug problem and then a decade ago they started changing their policies.

What they do is treat adicts as sick and focus on the dealers. So adicts don't go to jail, but instead have to take courses.

While the police can focus on the dealers. This way they can confiscate more drugs with less work.

And it seems to work pretty well for them.

The thing that really trips me out about all this is our Redcoat police. No one is saying that a junky robbing houses for a fix shouldn't be locked up, but locking up people for a dime bag is why no white man under 30 really gives a shit when bad stuff happens to cops.

>implying gun bans work
>implying you can stop people from owning a gun

Portugal decriminalized all drug use in 2001.

Their crime AND overdoses went DOWN.

Prohibition is completely fucktarded and exists only to give police departments an excuse to further militarize their policies and equipment.

Don't forget how much of their heavy handed and frankly unconstitutional bullshit is used to simply collect money for their local baronies.

The only time an America cop actually earns their pay is when they get shot.
>>
Literally same as gun control
>"If we ban guns there will be no gun crimes"
>"If we ban drugs, there will be no drug-related offenses!"

See how both are absolutely retarded? The best you can hope to do is decriminalize/legalize and fucking regulate so that the profits dont go to rape-y murder-y billions-worth drug cartels you inbred monkeys
