While the Bernie-to-Trump meme is mostly a lie, a lot of Bernie Brats DO harbor very nasty feelings toward Clinton. Some of these people will just stay home on election day, but a lot more of them will cave to Clinton, as unhappy as they are about it.

However, if they can be convinced that the Green Party is more in line with their political views, and is a viable option, than that would split the leftist vote, and Trump might actually have a shot at winning the general election. Green party nominee Jill Stein has said that she is willing to use her influence to get the Green Party to change their rules and let Sanders become the nominee if he wanted to. She has said that she has reached out to Bernie about this, though hasn't gotten a response from him as of yet.

So, what we should do is start one of dem Twitter hashtag campaigns "#BernieForGreen", and show Bernie that he has a lot of support in this area. Now, as Jill Stein has said, she isn't holding her breath about Bernie actually taking her up on the offer, especially after that meeting with Obama. But honestly, Bernie is such a spoiled, entitled idiot that I don't entirely discount the possibility, if it's clear there is (seemingly) enough interest in such a ticket.

But more importantly, as Jill Stein has also said, whether they can get Bernie or not, is whether they can get most of his voters. To do this, they have to show them that the Green party is the logical second-choice for Bernie supporters, and convince them that, with more independent voters than ever and 2 very unpopular candidates, that a Green Bernie ticket might actually have a shot at winning.

(Cont.)

(Cont.)

If we do it now and frame it with the Bernie-possibility, than Berntards will actually look into it and get pumped about a Green ticket. But is has to be now, so even when Bernie officially rejects the offer and becomes a Clintoris, they'll be too far down the Green rabbit hole to be swayed to vote Clinton.

Yes, this would be more effective if Bernie could actually be convinced to run on the Green ticket, so I hope against hope that this happens, but it could still be effective enough without him if we act now.

What are your thoughts on this, /pol/?

>trying to use logic to sway a bunch of bratty, emotional millennials toward anything

I mean, from an ideological perspective, the Green Party IS the next-best choice for Bernie Bros, but let's be honest. A lot of them are just bandwagoning hipsters who support Bernie just to be cool, or for fuzzy feels. As stupid as some of his supporters are for supporting his ideology, at least those ones know WHAT they're supporting. But a large fraction of them don't even know why they're Berniefags, just that they are.

We need rub it in really bad on Berniebros on how Clinton stole the nomination. It's the truth

Why do people still unironically make this claim?
>>
We should also split the republican ticket, let's get Romney back in the fray. 4 candidates would be based.
>>
>>76758177
Well then that plays more into our favor. If we can stage it that a lot of BernieBros support a Green ticket, than actual Bernie Bros will jump on the bandwagon, and won't be talked out of it by the "a vote for Bernie is a vote for Drumpf" boogeyman. And then when such a ticket is kind of viable cause of the support from the bandwagoning portion, maybe the more "logical" Bernie Bros won't be scared by these attacks. Such rhetoric at them will only make the bandwagoning portion feel cooler and dig their heels in more if they're already committed, assuming your take on his fan base is correct.

>>76757334
This will never work. Bernie's not that dumb. Trump will lose to Clinton get over it.

Bernie may not be that dumb, but his fan base might be. Which is why if we get this rolling before he officially supports Hillary, it may have a shot of being effective. If we get Berntards committed to a Green Party vote, they may continue to support it even after Bernie supports Hillary, so long as they're committed to the idea BEFORE he does so.

I mean I fucking hate Bernie and Jill Stein, but the whole "wasting your vote" may-may needs to die.

Honestly, as hilarious as Trump is, and as annoyed as I am for the unfair way he gets portrayed in the media (even if that is part of his plan, it doesn't make them right for doing it), I'm voting for Austin Petersen, because he's more qualified to be president. If that means Hillary wins, so be it. I want more parties in the system. If there had already been a viable Libertarian party when Ron Paul was running, he would've gotten the nomination and may have become president.
>>

When attaching Hillary, always use a Green or Socialist burner account. Puts clenched fists, and commie bullshit on your profile, but Green imagery is better.

Hit Pst too soon, meant to add that the Greens have essentially NO organization in place, no money, and generally poll worse than the Libertarians, other than one year with Nader when they cracked 2%, a feat which the Libertarians have yet to accomplish.

Liberals who are mad at Hilldawg can just vote for the gun-grabbing open borders nut job with the (L) after his name.

Isn't it too late to get on any ballots? I mean, he could probably get the signatures, but he has no money left. You can say "I'm running as an independent", but if you don't have any ballot access, it's not a "real" campaign. The Greens have the ballot already. That is where all of the attention needs to go.
>>
>>76761976
Theoretically, Jill Stein has some plays she could make as a further left woman than Hillary. They need to start a social media campaign begging for money from the disaffected Bernie supporters, NOW. Nader had more credibility and name recognition than Stein does now, but Stein has the internet. They need to get their shit in gear, and we need to help them.

The Democrats engaged in unscrupulous tactics to disenfranchise independent and no-party voters, to such a degree that if a Republican had even hinted at half as much the media Jew would have been running stories about it for weeks.

Then there are rumors that criminal organizations were threatening to kill Bernie voters in Puerto Rico, and organizing open ballots to vote for El Shilldog.

Then there is lying about the superdelegates being fluid based on votes, and not locked in from the start. Or the AP calling it before a major vote.

The Dems are up to Michelle Obama's dick in dirty tricks.
>>
>>76761976

Green Party has a shit track record but I honestly think Bernie merged with their forces would be better than Bernie independently. Especially if he merged with Stein, they could play the woman card against Hillary.

I had a berniebro message me today about how Gary Johnson isnt that bad and that he might support johnson come november

with that said, the greens are actually mentally retarded, straight up, especially Jill. I dont want to see their party gain traction and thusly have their stupid platform get attention among an already gullible and stupid population.
>>
everyone should probably go read the sandersforpresident subreddit. they seem very unhappy with hillary. didnt see anyone say they were willing to vote for her.

if you thought the system was rigged against your guy why the hell would you help the rigged system by voting hillary?

also, it seems like they want to send a message to the dnc. like they want a trump presidency to punish them. they also seem to think a trump presidency would accomplish their goals more quickly than a hillary presidency. they think trump will be so extreme that after his first term the pendulum will swing to the far left.

i predict many of the bernie people will stay home or vote for trump. if not then their 'revolution' was a complete waste of time.

It's already been said, but basically the MSM added 400 or super-delegates to Hillarys count from day one. She had a head start and if that didn't happen, more people would have thought their vote actually mattered early on. Most of her (real delegate) lead came from those early states where she was virtually unopposed.
They are right to be sore, but the DNC is the problem, they enacted super-delegates to prevent an upstart from hijacking the party, not unlike what happened to the GOP.
>>
>>76775291

The law of parsimony and game theory both suggest that Bernie is holding out to trigger a pre-emptive move by the Republicans, namely to lull them into a false sense of security so they feel they can field a candidate at the RNC to contest Trump.

If that happens, Bernie suddenly concedes, throws all his supporters at Hillary and the Dems win by a landslide.

It's brilliant theory, but the establishment GOP looks like it is accepting defeat and acquiescing to Trump's popular and electoral victories. The new strategy for Clinton would be to announce Bernie as her running mate and Warren as Sect of Commerce.

We spend half the day calculating this shit.
>>
>>76776421
If Bernie become vp it is game over and he purposefully not ruled out either that or a green party run. I have a feeling you are right, someone is playing a bigger game and being very tight-lipped about it.
