First time I really learned about it was in the 8th grade. Except from the KZs I don't know any big mouments, I think most memories are in peoples heads. Most schools visit a KZ if it's possible but normally you talk in the 10th grade about the genocide.

I did my last two years at international school in Germany. We had to learn about the holocaust a bit. I remember one propaganda video we had to watch about the "holocaust" of mentally handicapped people. It was basically just retards gibbering on camera. The British teacher had to forbid us to laugh before he showed it. In those days I thought of myself as a marxist. But now I am more experienced I think eugenics is a good thing. Yes, it's taught in school for several years. They used to force us to watch the most explicit propaganda videos on the holocaust in history class. Never learned about the civil war or any of the reasons why Jews were persecuted (they pretty much told us it was simply because of their religion).
