Because our country has no identity. We are just 7 cities full of immigrants. It's an airport basically.
The economy is shit. It's just oil, mining, and real estate. But the oil is expensive to take out and the real estate is mostly from foreign investors, driving up prices and making it difficult for young Canadians to actually buy a house. Especially since immigration here is very high but also tightly vetted - meaning a lot of immigrants are quite wealthy thus driving the price of land and pricing many people already here out of it. It's garbage and not a single politician will talk about it. The mining companies here are world class though, from what I've read.
We are just a poorer, less proud, and less free America.
