I'd like to have a family and raise my children properly but it's also hard to know if that's even possible these days, also being coddled by my mother and never knowing my father made growing up knowing what is "right" nigh impossible.

There are many who will tell you that you must de-calcify your pineal gland by drinking colloidal silver, do compound lifts four hours a day, go AMOG a group of betas and fuck a slut to up your test, etc.
Some of these suggestions are great and you'd do well to implement them (i.e. diet and exercise).
But the most basic, elemental component to being a man is to tell the truth as you see it and to stop caring about the consequences. Men who do this can vary in their vocations, their interests, their appearance, and their socioeconomic positions. But you will know one when you see one. You must simply own yourself and give up the futile attempt to please others.
From this seed, many flowers will flourish naturally. But you must stop fearing what your own heart tells you is the case. And you must be bold and courageous in sharing that with those around you.

Donald Trump is driving a wedge between my girlfriend and me.
She is/was a Bernie supporter because he's a nice old man and not owned by the establishment. She can't name any of his policies though.
Now that Bernie is all be dead, she is starting to talk about Johnson because she read an NPR article that mentioned him. She is pretty middle of the road, leaning more toward conservative, so this makes some sense. I think it's mostly because no one can argue with her about Johnson since he's not in any race and no one even knows he exists.
She is brainwashed by the media and thinks Trump is Literally Hitler™. But at the same time she refuses to acknowledge the fact that people (including herself) don't make rational decisions and are in fact heavily influenced by the media and their surroundings.
