Religion provided many things to society when implemented correctly. The truth is that most people are sheep and weak willed. Myself and most here included. Religion did this:

This seems so fucking crazy to me. I've been on 4chan for like 10 years now, but on /pol/ for 3. And then there's presently. Most especially in the past fucking 6 months I see less and less banter from Germany every day. It's honestly really fucking sad.
