If I print something, it's likely to stay with me or who I gift it to for a while. It's something that someone can show their friends/relatives after they've gotten a new phone or laptop.
It's also not a disposable piece of paper like the trash that enters your door, a bill, a bank statement, a newspaper, a leaflet promoting a business or a takeaway menu. All that shit is not only a waste of paper but a waste of ink. It's something I won't ever have an attachment to.
A photo though? I'm more likely to give that at least 2-3 seconds of my time.

People like to print; it's more permanent and displayable than just keeping it on an SD card or something, so if you have the money and it's a good photo that you really like, why not?

Printing a few pictures also makes you appreciate your pictures a bit more.
I did cheap deal for two canvas prints and figured why not. Had it delivered to work and most people didn't believe I even took the photos. Felt pretty good.
