results of shooting my first roll of color film
this was Kodacolor VR200, aka Color Plus
colors are pretty funny, IQ overall is shit, I'll see to get decent film next time

when I took this I remembered an anon who asked something like

I thought this would make a different picture before spending 5min walking in this damned 1m high grass
here I thought it might have looked good if the girl was turned towards me, but I don't have enough social skills to call out random people in parks yet so this is what I got
see I got to this place because a girl told me she would have been my guide for the day, so I would see the nice looking spots to take pics, but when I got there she told me via text message that she wasn't available, and she only mentioned some interesting spots
so I opened up the navigator on my phone and found my way around the town
was a nice enough looking town to be honest
and I was lucky since there was a market
I really like markets for some reason, don't really know what exactly
I had read this film had a red tint
boy was that wrong
I wanted to take this pic months ago, but at the time I was there with a 70-200mm lens
was pretty satisfying

I don't remember what was in the shaker, just that I tried to replicate some pics I saw on instagram
those filters don't even come close to mine :^)
I tried to center the tower in a hole better, but the viewfinder position didn't help
here I went into this train station to document its decadence
being there in the empty rooms doesn't really flow from these pics, but still they do give away some of the feeling
right after this was shot, at a charity diner, I thought it would have come out with the guys figures in the middle, but instead this effect came out
can't say I'm unhappy about it
I told the fucker to be still, this is the best he could do
near a pool, with harsh light

Overall I enjoyed the images. The lo-fi look works well IMO, or it could just be that I have a fetish for it. Your first 3 images are my favorite, along with >>2879862 and >>2879872 .
Thanks for sharing, just another bit of motivation I need to get into film photography. Looking to get a medium format, possibly a pentacon 6.
It's not the film. Either you have shit camera or scanner.

its the scanner... if your lens was soft you would still see sharp grain structure. but the grains (and even the dust on the negatives) is soft
These are all shit dude. Stop relying on the film aesthetic to turn photos of boring nothingness into some interesting, nostalgic bullshit. Would you have taken these had you been shooting with a digital camera? Probably not...

Not that guy but here's my take on it.
Sometimes I load a 36 exp roll of Portra 160, I shoot what I need and I got three shots left. It's a new day and I need to load a different roll. So I find some stuff, anything. I focus half-assedly and take a shot. Just to feel like I'm not "wasting the roll".
That's what these shots remind me of. My snapshits of beer bottles.

This. You just aren't layering, or maybe more accurately your photo have too many layers. The composition of these shots doesn't isolate any of your subjects and neither does your choice of depth of field. Think about the background details.
The best one is the pole on an angle but you should have taken a step right to take the house out of frame.
