This sort of thing would probably be more suited to /o/. This board is for all types of photography, but it's about being creative/artistic in your approach, as well as technically pro-efficient, as opposed to just getting something interesting on camera.

In terms of "liking" it, as with everything it's personal choice.
IMO, the few car spotter photographers on instagram I follow generally are pretty boring. When I'm at a circuit if I can see the wheels of a car at all I absolutely cannot freeze the wheels, or it'll look like the car is static. All the car spotter guys seem to have their cameras on modes that are fine for shots of static cars but not for moving ones and freeze the wheels/ruin the feeling of action and speed.

Thinking of photograpy as a strictly creative process is very reducing in my opinion. Photography has had many uses through the previous decades, and documenting is definitely one of them.
Also nothing in the sticky describes this board as an artistic one.
Although no matter what you shoot, every technical aspect of photography still applies in my opinion. If you spot the rarest car and produce a bad picture, you'll end up with a bad picture, period.

This board does state that we want pictures with thought put into them. That means thought outside of "I got a blurry picture of an Italian supercar on camera".
Car spotting is fine. Automotive photography is fine. I'm not trying to be a dick, but this board encourages quality, even if it's just documenting.
