I would like to ask for some advices.
What may be the cause of those red color shifts betweeen frames in my failed timelapse? It was set on something around 20sec exposure, and let's pretend for a second that i'm absolutely sure it's not my failed attempt of bulk processing (it may be, i'm just wondering if there may be any other reasons).
And second question, is there any way to protect camera/lens from getting foggy in wrong weather?
Did you set your WB to auto while you were shooting this? Some external lights could be the reason
if so, consider manual K wb, could help
>>2874206
I don't think that's the case - i was indeed on auto this time, but i did quite a lot of those timelapses and it happens in every WB setting possible: on auto, on presets, and on K ones.
Can you upload a few of your original stills so I can look at the EXIF data of them? Pic a frame that has as close to correct color as you can find and another that's red.

sure, thanks

Huh, so you're sure it does this even with manual WB?
>>2874214
Yeah, i tried to solve the problem this way before. There, i have this old timelapse raw data on my hard disk, and color shifts are still there despite setting WB to certain preset.

Huh. Honestly I'm stumped. Defective sensor maybe? Or maybe even the firmware is weird. Have you tried factory resetting? I feel like it may be fixable if you brought your sequence in to After Effects or Premiere and used some sort of a deflicker effect. But still kind of a shitty workaround.
I have absolutely no idea what causes it. Sometimes it's getting everything right (even on auto WB).

The best way is to get a dew heater band and controller. Picture isn't my setup kek.

try manual focus with mirror lockup
OP, y u no fix in pp, faggot?
1. Deflickering with LRTimelapse
2. Deflickering with TLTools
3. Deflickering with GBDeflicker
4. Deflickering with Sapphire Deflicker
5. Deflickering with MSUDeflicker
OP, this lens twist method will save your ass on your next timelapse

This is great, thanks a lot
>>2874609
It obviously is manual focus, auto would never catch it every time in the middle of the night.
>>2874615
I don't think that's my problem - i'm getting red tints, not wrong brightness. Still, it sounds like useful thing, thanks.
>>2874614
I can, but i prefer to fix the problem rather than work around it.
But in the end i think it's just retardation of darktable, maybe some kind of inability to read raw data properly. I'll try it in different software, thank you for all advices.
>>2874962
Yo OP, same guy who asked you to upload a few snaps. Been monitoring the thread out of curiosity. If you upload a couple raw pics to drive or something and post a link, I'll run it through LR and post results if you don't have it. (Which I assume you don't seeing as you use darktable)

Thanks a lot. I uploaded three frames and their jpg outputs.
