And 13 MP on a fucking midget sensor gives terrible looking images.
Then every phone lens is some wide angle <30mm piece of shit, when faces look horrible at less than 50mm, and no professional portrait photographer uses less than 85mm.

I have a zenfone 2. The camera isn't very good, massive shutter lag (often over a second), soft, misses focus, won't do raw.
The photo editing software is good tho.

F stop is measured in proportion to sensor size, this so fucking obviously the case here because the iris of this lens is less than a millimeter across, compared to say a 35mm f2 for full frame where it is roughly a few centimeters across. It is retarded in the extreme to even consider that these lenses would collect the same total light.

The only thing that is affected by sensor size is the image circle which is not fully used at smaller sensors.
Aperture equivalent is a meme established by stupid FF mongos who desperately try to justify their buy.
Zen Fone doesn't have a very good camera. Even quality wise, for the price. Go with an older flagship phone. Should be cheaper and better, new or used. LG G3, G4. Moto X Pure. HTC One models. Should have RAW capability with separate software as well.
I have an HTC Desire Eye, really good camera and software. It has flagship specs, but on a higherend midrange device at the time of its release.
