each time i use CS5 (even if i dont save anything) about a GB of hard disk space (windows partition) is eaten and never goes back again. i have co constantly find what to delete and im running out of things to delete. what the fuck.

get apple mac computers, at least 2, they are best for image photos and shops. They have more of the colors than windows and make better photography.

Disable page file, m8. I have disabled it since the XP days, when I was running 3GB of RAM.
Nowadays, if you have 8+ (32 here) you just don't need virtual memory.

Use SequoiaView (http://www.win.tue.nl/sequoiaview/) to find out what's eating all that hard-disk space.

in After effects you can clear the disk cashe from preferences. Google how to clear this in photoshop.

I think you can set this to a different disk in: preferences, performance, scratch disk
