Chien-Chi Chang, a Magnum Photographer who lives in Austria now (Middle book) was also there and did a presentation on some of the stuff he's done in the recent past. Also did a book signing afterwards, which is always fun to watch because he takes 5-10 minutes for each book and really personalizes it with a lot of stamps etc.

We also had a quick chat after the presentation and shared some wine. Pretty down to earth guy and gets drunk pretty easily. During the signing, when people were taking pictures of him, he was constantly saying to not show them to his ex-wife or her lawyer kek

These books changed my life as a photographer. They are so simle, yet at the same time, just beautiful to look at. My eyes feel good when I see the images on the pages:
Robert Frank: The Americans
William Klein: Life is Good and Good for You in New York

Who is the photographer for the bottom book? I love the cover.
Where can I find a large collection of photobook pdfs? I found this archived thread but the links are long dead

Americans is ok but fuck shit overrated. It's one of those works where all content is left out of every single review and all these curators cite the ways it "chaged photography forever".
There's an interesting article on how empty all modern Americans reviews are nonexistant in content. Remember, when the thing came out serious photographers hated the shit out of the book. Jack Kerouac and his ridiculous "beat-generation" deformed nonsense art. It's fun an' all but I can't be bothered to find any more meaning to it than appears to the eye.
