I like this one, looks like a good painting
In the others however, the ducks are quite centered, giving these a kind-of snapshot (bad) look. Off center, more level photos would have made these much better.
I DO however like your use of framing the photos with leaves, but in the first two they are a little bright, which takes the eye away from the subject(s).
>>2860563
How did you manage to get it blown so much and still end up with all that noise?
>>2860568
You could have done a longer exposure here and gotten a better reflection. I like it.

>I like this one, looks like a good painting
thx, it was the look I was after to
>I like this one, looks like a good painting

totally agree. I was in an absolute rush (20 min. span and had to go to another location), so I just snapped as soon as I got the birds in focus kinda disregarding composition, since they were supposed to be zooomed in anyway
>but in the first two they are a little bright, which takes the eye away from the subject(s).
agree. MFW I later discovered in the camera bag there was a polarizing filter that would have worked magic with the water...anyhow these were literally straight out of camera, pic related is just level fixed in pp, I hope something might be saved out of them...I somehow enjoy the "silver" look the water has but you are totally right it makes the pic way too onto the high side of the spectrum.
TY very much for the feedback

ops, forgot pic related

not my camera, shitty camera, 1600 ISO, in a rush for
1. birds not to go away
2. having to change location before sunset
so went full retard.
still I don't know what could I might have gained if I was to lower ISO: look at EXIF: I had balance a) depth of field in order to have a somehow manageable focus b) enough shutter speed not to have the birds blurred by their own movement c)light was lit: it was golden hour but as you can see it was just bounced, not direct, so not that much
TLDR went full retard but any proper camera shouldn't be this noisey at 1600...or can it?
>>2860563
The leaves are a great foreground element in this but you need to bring your ISO down from 1600 to 100 to reduce noise / increase sharpness.
Resize your images per rules.
Did you shoot RAW format?
Bring down your highlights so your whites aren't blown out.

ty for the feedback.
I agree, actually it didn't even come to my mind to try a long exposure shot...I was really quite in a rush and after the painting-effect, was totally handheld with the 70-200
Ty cheer anon

>from 1600 to 100
Lol, I was thinking I fucked up by not going to 800, but 100..come on, have you looked at the exif? pls look at exif and tell how could I have expose the birds right at 100 ISO...obviously the water is highlighed, which I anyhow don't despise that much, if you look at >>2860633
information is there somehow...or not? LOL
>>2860642
>Did you shoot RAW format?
>Bring down your highlights so your whites aren't blown out.
yes obviously but I think there are some limitations ineherent to the camera, which is a shitty consumer Canon. The lens was good, but when the camera is unable to process certain bit/s speed there's pretty much nothing to do about...and by this I mean that there's no way a 5DMK2 would have been this noisey at 1600ISO (not saying 1600 was ideal either, just that probably hardware played its part in this mess...)
>>2860615
>Off center, more level photos would have made these much better.
would pic related be any better in terms of composition?

I'd say so, yeah. Being closer, the duck is now obiviously much more of the focus, although becuase it's slightly off-center, the water is still a key part of the picture. Leaving in the very edges of the leaves, albeit out of focus, looks very nice here. That isn't to say all your pictures shoudl be close-ups just the way this was cropped allows the picture to retain the "silvery" look of the water while bringing much more focus to the shot IMO, lookin good.
