I like it. I like the busy texture at the bottom mixed with the flat hardness at the top, as well as the obvious red green contrast and the framing in the center There's enough texture in the sky to play backup to the texture in the bushes.
I do wish the texture and tones in the bushes came all the way to the bottom of the frame without fading to shadow, but it's not a major issue.

The subject here clearly is a wall with a lamp framed by two orange pillars and a hedge at the front.

Ok, but obviously personal taste. Colors however match the prints I usually get from this film.

So what? At 35mm and ~30cm distance to the hedge it's impossible to get the bushes sharp at any aperture. Also impossible to shoot at a longer focal length as there's this small pavement I was standing at, a heavy traffic road behind me and on the other side of the road there were a lot of trees. Only possible solution that does not go along with distortion or a completely different frame (which would involve cropping in post) is a 35mm here. Might even reshoot at wider aperture so the bushes are more blurry, but I doubt it's possible to get a unicolor green foreground (going for a clear blue sky then).

Thanks mang! It's just a long expsure while the wind was blowing. I had to use an ND filter so it wouldn't overexpose. It was a 6sec exposure. First time I've done one like it came-out neato. (I've only ever really used my ND filter for waterfalls or a busy street or something)

He shot at f/8.0 which is plenty for the system he is using. As for the tripod you don't absolutely need it to shoot landscape, steady hands and a level plain is all you need. What would be beneficial is a wider lens as 52mm is a little bit too narrow for such a vast landscape.

One of the first major breakthroughs that a photographer (hopefully) goes through is the realization that some photos just won't be interesting to a viewer. it's important to try to divorce yourself from the experience of having been there, or from the pride of having taken the photo, or from the triumph of overcoming a fear or challenge to get a shot, and to look at it as your viewer would - dispassionately. Would someone ELSE care about your photo? Does it have anything unique or memorable to offer? Is there any reason to share it?
The most successful photographers are the ones who look at their target audience, and produce photos that that audience will appreciate. The most talented photographers are saying unique things, or are saying things in a truly unique way.
Everyone else is pretty much taking the same pool of 500 photos over and over again. Pets. Friends. Flowers. "landscapes" (in quotes because it's usually a photo taken at a random time of day with no interesting light or weather, from a road or obvious path, which is what really hurts the images)

Alright fuck it. Five more photos incoming. I think the first three I posted were some of the strongest from today's shoot.
Thanks for the feedback, I've been trying some new stuff out when it comes to editing my photos, and I've liked the outcome. I missed focus on the eyes on some these upcoming shots.
btw it was her that found the Selp Helf book, and we both thought it was a funny choice for a book to pull out.

I'm surprised how well these turned out for only using natural light, well except the library shots of course. I typically use an off camera flash or bounce for portraiture work.

But all the photos I posted above were all natural lighting. Thanks for the critique, all go do that in Lightroom real quick and see how I like it.
I'm very critical when I critique my own photos, and focus was my biggest issue today. I messed up on the library shots and could've bumped the ISO to 800 and had a faster shutter speed than 1/60 prevented the little bit of shake (blurriness) to the photos. I used a 85mm for all the photos above, so handheld shots a 1/60 are a little harder than what I am used to shooting portraits with, a 50mm.
Here's an example of an off camera flash being bounced off a white posterboard about even with the model. Did this a little over a month ago, same model as today.

They become very generic imo, most people who shoot this type of stuff, their portfolios just look like a sea of lights and club style photography. Same perspectives, usually same lighting, not much variance in composition. The artists might be unique but it all looks the same.

The tiles on the pond are bright and distracting against the subtle greens of the background. My eyes are lead to them and i hardly look at the main subject which is the statue. I think if you crop the tiles up to the bottom of the brick base which the sculpture sits on, you will have a better composition and better focus on the subject.
