It's either colour, or black and white, or tinted black and white. It's not "B&W with one colour", NEVER. It's one of the biggest mistakes you can do.

Apart from that, you need to stop shooting only tiny details. It's not really interesting. Wanna take a texture photo? Go ahead, do it, put it on a stock photo website, but it's not going to be interesting to look at.

And the part about tiny details not being interesting. Please. It's like saying aerial photography isn't interesting. Although "interesting" is entirely subjective, the world is so complicated that yes, you can find interesting tiny details just as you can find interesting landscapes or aerial views or whatever.

Let people explore! That's how you find the "interesting" parts of typically "boring" things. Or it's how you make great works of art out of cliches.

Have you ever seen a good example of it? I tried to but I genuinely can't see them. I wouldn't even count Schindler's list because it looks like it was actually black and white and then one greyscale bit was colored over with red which results in a very different look from the sort of selective coloring based on a full color picture.
