The temple looks great in terms of exposure but the sky where its blown out has no saturation and looks unnatural.

If you plan on shooting a lot of open sky I suggest you get a circular polarizer for your lens. It will improve the color contrast and can help you avoiding situations where the sky gets blown. Also it will help make the clouds get more prominent contours.
And just a tip, try to use -0.7 exposure compensation for everything, adjust correct exposure and white/black point in post.

I didn't say he has to use it on the UWA end. The kit lens set to 24 or 28mm have a narrow enough angle for the circular polarizer.
