I never understood this mentality. If I dislike a channel or personality it will be because they are fake, pompous, dry or just generally douchy. It has never occurred to me to actually detest someone for having a following large enough to be their own marketing outlet. Producing good content will cost money. I'd love to get paid to review shit. When the scales tip in their content from "great videos with a plug at the beginning and end" to short fluff videos that are close to 50% ad time then I just no longer find it worth my time to watch and unsubscribe. Linustechtips is the perfect example. That team is putting out like 8 minute videos and close two 3 minutes of ad time between to post intro as and the long ass commercial at the end.
