"Smallest" and "largest" are not the same thing. In fact, they are opposites. Even the numbers aren't "smaller" because as you know, aperture is a fraction. f/2 is f 1/2 (the diameter of the pupil is 1/2 the focal length)

You don't just walk up to a stranger and say "Can I take your photo for a *mumble mumble*" while looking at the floor, you in stead take an interest in another human being. You talk to someone while they're working, and have a human interaction, taking an interest in their lives, and listening like someone who doesn't have a mental disorder.
