Just a quick reminder that this coming Sunday, the 24th of April, the World Pinhole day is upon us again.
ITT we share our pinhole shots to get psyched, and if the thread lives long enough, the results from this year's WPD.

A girl I knew in highschool once built a room-sized camera obscura. Being apparently the steadiest man in the school, she took pics of me a lot. It was pretty cool.
>>2822120
Did you fug her?
>>2822123
yes, we did the practical theatre exams together
>>2822127
Post a picture of her.
>>2822128
no
she's not attractive anyway
we were just having a bit of fun
>>2822129
Aww, she sounds like a nice girl.
>>2822132
she is
>>2822134
Are you still with her, Anon?
>>2822135
we were never together, but fate has kept us in each other's ass for many years in that school. It was a school with heavy focus on arts and a lot of the projects were done in twos, and we often ended up a team
>>2822137
I wish I had someone like that.
>>2822138
me too
we went our separate ways
>>2822139
;_;
One of the best threads I have seen on /p/ in a while.
>>2822120
She built it or she covered the windows in an actual room?
Good to see so much interest in the thread already, keep it up guys!

She built a physical room from wood, that she could lift up on her dad's truck and move around.
So it was a gigantic portable camera obscura.
>>2822170
Bergen!
why not just call it a lomography thread
>>2822269
Why WOULD you call it a lomography thread?
>>2822271
because "pinhole photography" as a genre is some lomography-tier method-over-everything sadness
lets not forget to go out and buy our specially made pinhole cameras and skink plates!

I don't think you understand that lomography actually is...
>>2822301
I don't think that you do either if you're protesting an inherent association between pinholes and lomography.
Lomography uppercase is a commercial trademark. Lowercase lomography is photography shorthand for a genre of photography influenced by the faux-nostalgic look of toy cameras.
>>2822309
I get the inherent association between "purposefully low quality images" and lomography for the same sort of people who call all editing "filters", but that doesn't make those people right. Especially when Lomography the company is fucking over people looking for results like these, as they sell a pinhole camera that is literally $200 before tax.
>>2822326
>Especially when Lomography the company is fucking over people looking for results like these, as they sell a pinhole camera that is literally $200 before tax.
If you're looking to buy a pinhole instead of make one, you deserve to be exploited. You're a lazy piece of shit.
sorry, but I and millions of others will continue to call lo-fi lomography because there exists precedent.
>>2822338
>call lo-fi lomography because there exists precedent.
So lomography predates photography? At what point did lomography become photography?
>>2822359
How the fuck did you get that out of the greentext?
>call latex bandages bandaids because there exists precedent
>So bandaids predate latex bandages? at what point did bandaids become latex bandages?
Do you realize how idiotic you sound? Being defensive about being called a lomographer is a very lomography trait by the way.
Looks like people are shitposting in your photothread, catsby.
Didn't even take coordinated effort to make it happen.
why not just take out of focus photos at your smallest aperture? there doesnt seem to be much difference in the results. You also won't get dust in your camera that way.
>>2822426
Sure but this is a thread for pinhole photography, not discussing what's "objectively best"
>>2822363
You claim "lo-fi" photography is lomo, which I would assume by your retard logic, that pinhole cameras and other early methods of photography fall into; meaning that "lomography" would have come before photography, which is absolutely retarded, like you.
>Do you realize how idiotic you sound? Being defensive about being called a lomographer is a very lomography trait by the way.
lol I think you need to stop posting, you are getting too mad to make coherent posts.
>>2822486
>lol I think you need to stop posting, you are getting too mad to make coherent posts.
you might want to look in the mirror. you're upset that someone called primitive photography lo-fi and lomography because "they didn't come before it" as if that has ever mattered towards how language evolves

>ITT we share our pinhole shots to get psyched, and if the thread lives long enough, the results from this year's WPD.
Well it looks like we definitely will be seeing those results in this thread. But not the rest.
I was given a pinhole lens for my D810 as a present and haven't really played with it much, but here...

It thanks you.

>>2822537
Sorry, my sensor is beyond redemption. I've already taken a picture of my balls with it.
>>2822539
Yes I can see the hair on it.
>>2822540
Oh no, that was from shooting pix of your mum's back.
I had already cleaned my pubes off by then.

Yeah, good.

So, did anyone get anything nice yesterday?
My light meter has been stolen, and my phone was out of battery, so I had to guesstimate my exposures, but I hope at least one of the shots came out okay.
I shot color film which I can't dev myself, so I'll have to wait until Saturday to see.

I made a camera out of foam and a coke can and shot a roll of film on it. Will develop it tonight and post the results (if there are any)
As I feared the exposure was off on most of my shots, I should have multiplied my guesstimate by 4.
Oh well.
I'll post one now, and the rest later after I edit them, if I bother editing.

obviously my pinhole camera is far more primitive then everyone elses...
>>2827320
eh...
Sadly I didn't act in time and didn't had my pinhole camera, I'll share with you the paper cameras I made. It's not so easy to find film here but tomorrow hopefully will be the day.

And if you have to buy a pinhole, get a Holga one. They cost about £10 with free shipping on Amazon, and they have versions for most DSLR mounts.
