Anyone else just go for walks and take snaps along the way, hoping for unique opportunities and situations to present themselves?
ITT post your spontaneous, unplanned, candid, and street photos. Extra points for photos that capture something completely unintended. Snapshits welcome.

Um... Well that's ONE way to photograph, which usually results in terribly boring photos of geese and tree bark.

Really dude? That's all my shots and I don't have any that's geese and tree bark". That's basically the entire genre of street photography.

>This
Step one: grab your fully charged camera with an empty card/a ton of film
Step two: go on a walk to nowhere, passing through crowded places
Step three: snap everythimg that catches your eye

that's how hobbyists and amateurs photograph

This.
I go for walks and hope for the best, but my m8 is a pro and sells landscapes. He usually knows where he is going to put his tripod before he's left the house. He has a pretty good Idea of what he wants before he leaves his home and then throws a massive tantrum when his photos don't match his initial vision.
I took this on a random walk

I don't see anything about the word "street" in the OP post (I also don't see a street in the OP photo). What am I missing that you are not missing?

that's the one reason why I like film
you didn't write you look for opportunities and you take pics if you find a good scene
you wrote you take snaps and you hope them to be good
that's having no idea of what you're doing, that way your pic will look so generic they will hurt to look at them all together

The fact that he takes landscape photos as opposed to street photos has nothing to do with anything. The same concepts can be applied to street photography. There are places in cities that are more photogenic than others. The concepts are transferable.
The point was that planning will more often than not produce better results than wandering around aimlessly.
And just FYI we weren't talking exclusively about street photography. If you took the time to "read and think" you would see that the OP asked for "unplanned, candid, AND street" photos, not unplanned, candid street photos.

How on Earth would you make that about film vs digital....???
If you think that film inherently makes you take less boring photos, I've got about 25 photo albums from my grandparents I can hand you with hundreds of photos of fucking nothing at all.

That's one way for a thread on /p/ to end. Another is Sony vs Fuji.
