I don't think your isi...but this does look like deep south, so we'll see.
For whatever reason, I can't get over that bit of dead grass that's creeping around the rear of the left tree. Something bothersome about it to me...doesn't quite seem to fit.

As an aside to these as a whole: are you playing with frame within a frame as a motif, mainly partial framing (well for the photos above the football one)?

I'd say I play with frame-in-a-frame a lot in general. there's so much visual clutter in this environment that you kinda just have to embrace it lol

Not that often, usually only happens if I've taken multiple photos (this was the third I think of that guy, I approached from the right and kept shooting until he looked at me and started directing his freestyle gospel to me.
Personally, I love the covered face in this particular shot

Absolutely, but surely someone who makes a thread about their photographs must have at least something worthy of my time, no? otherwise why would they post in a brand new thread just for themselves? I'm questioning the quality of these images both as series by questioning whether or not OP thinks they are worth of anyone's time including my own, and if so why. All I'm seeing is snapshit OP gathered in a day out or two, where OP is forcing "style" by adding needless borders, the images themselves are bland.

It's the purpose of this board. Interestingly, the option to post a thread is open to people of *all* skill levels (note that in the sticky it just says to use the RPT if you're shy, nothing about skill).
>I'm questioning the quality of these images both as series by questioning whether or not OP thinks they are worth of anyone's time including my own, and if so why.
I actually can't necessarily disagree with this point except the answers to everything but "why" is self-evident from the fact that they were posted.
>All I'm seeing is snapshit OP gathered in a day out or two, where OP is forcing "style" by adding needless borders, the images themselves are bland.
And here you out yourself as knowing nothing. There's a lot of critiques you could level here, but "snapshits" really isn't one of them.
As if you think the style is being forced by the borders...you really are visually illiterate.

>There's a lot of critiques you could level here, but responding to plebeians as omniscient is what you do instead.
You know "I know you are but what am I" stops working at like fourth grade, right?
>responding to plebeians
At the moment, my time is pretty damn worthless. I'm not the one putting on aires friend.
>as omniscient
No, I just know that snapshitting is thoughtless picture taking. Looking through these, you can clearly see that's not the case. There are clear motives in these images. Whether or not you like these, or how well they work is aside from the point. They are present. Consideration of treatment is present. These may well be bad photographs, but they are anything (well, barring the one with the football maybe) but snapshits.
If this is the eye you use for evaluating your own work, you have much studying to do. I recommend starting with whatever basic texts you can google up on composition.

You're right. I already assumed landscapes were a no go since the poster complained about abandoned houses.
Why would I care if the poster already had a thread there? There's not many threads alive right now that fit that criteria anyway.
Why do you assume it's a male?
>>2808761
>portraits, automotive, or wildlife
2 of those 3 are in this thread
Did you even look at it before you started shitposting?
>>2808752
Understood - but the viewer doesn't know that. There's not a good point of reference for a real horizon in this image. Maybe it's borderline, but just keep in mind that the viewer doesn't know the house is crooked- if there isn't a good point of reference for what "horizon" is, it just looks like a crooked photo.
>>2808797
Trees are generally a strong point of reference. Also the only possible one when you're talking about places that don't exactly have level foundations to begin with.
Approaching rural decay from a strict geometric mindset is doomed to failure.
