Not for a self portrait, but I have done this with portraits a friend wanted.
Used an ND filter at night, stopped down. Let the exposure sit and then set him up and shot with a flashgun multiple times.
It's pretty nice to experiment with if you've never done it before.
how did you capture that ghost? i was super into orbs and shit in the 90's, but i don't see anyone ever capturing that stuff anymore.
