what is your dream setup /p/? pic related is mine
>>2796955
That's what I use, except I've got a Novoflex adapter instead of one those crappy chinese ones.
>>2796955
Pretty low dream there, my dude.
How poor do you have to be that a poverty-tier kit like that is your "dream setup"?
>>2796955
Phase One 100MP sensor in a 645z body.
>>2796965
you mean sony sensor?
>>2796965
Ohh fuck me RAW. I WANT THAT NEW PHASE ONE. I wish I could retake this with that medium format goodness

The 645z already has a Sony sensor. I'm specifying the newest one that's in the newest P1.
>>2796970
They're less than a minute apart, homeslice.
>>2796971
U bet :^)
>>2796955
i have all my dream setups covered. stopped gearfagging long time ago.
>>2796955
My dream setup is my own Pentax body with some nicer lenses. A few Limiteds replacing the plastic fantastic and older manual focus lenses, maybe a DA*/FA* or D-FA telephoto.
I don't need newest(tm) cutting edgest(c) gear to enjoy taking photos.
>>2796985
What do you own?
>>2796985
for 35mm, my Spotmatic + 50 1.4
for half frame, my Canon Demi
for medium format, either my Pentax 67 or Rollei
i have more, but these are the ones i find myself more comfortable with.
>>2796955
dream big, op
the lens is shit, though (or at least my copy)

>shitty attempt at painting "Leica" on
Yep, the archetype of the Sonyfag. You guys are even ashamed of your chosen brand. You are so cucked you can only wish for being cucked again.
>>2797228
Lol dude, you sound like whole /p/ condensed in one person
>>2797222
>all that paint wearing off
For 35mm, a Leica M6 (or maybe M4) with 35mm Summicron and a Contax T2
For medium format, a Pentax 6x7 with the wide
For digital, Xpro2 and more Fuji lenses
Nikon D750 + 14-24 F2.8 + 300mm F2.8
fuck all the range in between

>>2797251
:DDDD
I want a pic related
even tho an a7rii would be better and not much bigger and heavier
>>2797304
This is such a badass camera.
It'll make you look like a total noob because dat compact body but the quality of the sensor/lens combo will blow anything else away.
Too bad it costs three grand.
>>2797325
And you can get a similar set with the GR or Fuji for much much less money and more portability.
>>2797248
>implying everyone on /p/ can afford a7
>implying people can only dream about things they most likely will never get
Kill yourself, western scum
>>2797327
That's why I got myself a GR II a few months ago.
But still, having the RX1R II wouldn't be bad, either.
>>2797334
Yeah, you could sell it for a few tickets to some interesting parts of the world.
>>2796968
>bayer interpolation
nope
>>2797325
>It'll make you look like a total noob
that's better, I always try to look like a noob when shooting street not to scare people away
I usually bring a 5D mkIII so to compensate I dress like a hipster
>Too bad it costs three grand.
I could find an RX1R for €1500 before the current version came out, I'm hoping I'll be able to find one of these for a decent price in some time
>>2797327
>a similar set with the GR or Fuji for much much less money and more portability.
yes, tho this takes higher quality pictures
for extreme portability I have a phone with me at all times
>>2797337
>needing tickets to go in places
>not having a good bike and a good backpack
>not wanting to experience the journey and place fully
I get the point but I don't like the example
>Leica Monochrom with 28 and 50.
>RX1RII.
>D5 with Sigma 100-300/2.8.
>>2796955

looks like a fucking carpet
>>2797406
I'll see you taking your bike to India, Tahiti, some polynesian islands, other parts of the indian ocean, maybe visit Ha Long bay. With a bike.
The world does not end by the Burger City limits.
>>2797415
I could get to India and see the Ha Long Bay
if you're american you have almost all america, if you're european or asian you can see most europe and asia, I don't see why you need to look for other out of hand places
>>2797420
You don't see it because you're a shut in. How can you be interested in photography if you don't care about the world? Maybe you just masturbate over Sony specs sheets and gear reviews. I seriously doubt you have any camera other then your phone.
I'm pretty happy with my current stuff. The only thing i would really like to have is a 85mm f1.8 for indoor animal pictures. My 70-200 2.8 can struggle a bit when lighting is dim. Often can't get close enough with my 50mm. So it's a niche scenario that i don't encounter frequently but it's a bummer not having a fast 85 when it does.
>>2797442
*that should read 85mm 1.4.

85mm for INDOOR animal photos?

That didn't look like a "correction" to me.

I would use it for indoor zoo/captive habitat situations, large aquariums. Especially for reptile displays. Obviously for people's pets i can get much closer and use shorter focal length.
i want a leica

I can get to some quarter of the known world, so why would I care for the other 3 quarters before seeing what I can see easily?
>Maybe you just masturbate over Sony specs sheets
figuratively
>I seriously doubt you have any camera other then your phone.
I wrote that I usually use a 5D mkIII when shooting street
it's all my father's stuff actually, tho I use it about as much as him
then there's a 6D, a 400D, 5 L lenses and 1 nifty nifty
also here's my flickr page if you care for a look - https://www.flickr.com/photos/elleborgo/

Already own a dream camera with a real reason:
>Dreamed Leica M6 like other newbie analog photographer
>Finally had M6
>Disappointed because it's so pretentious and the result is the same with any cheap analog camera.
>Have Hasselblad 500cm
>Too big for daily street use
>Finally happy with Rollei 35s because i'm such a weaboo and inspired by Tamayura anime

I just want a mamiya 7

>>2797248
ya people here aren't really into serious photography you could make ironic posts about a Zeiss lenses making a person a better photographer or your dream set up being a sony memerless camera with 1 lens
and people here don't understand why that is a joke, I'm 97% sure that everyone on /pol/ are subscribers of that fat Jason guy with a fedora on youtube, love coming here for a good laugh
Probably an a7sii with a nice fast 35mm of some sort and an a7rii with a Canon 11-24mm f/4L USM and some fast 80-100mm
>>2798856
I have to disagree with almost everything you said there.
1) not liking something because it is "pretentious" is the gayest most hipster shit ever.
2) a blad is not that big or heavy, man up
3) the rollei 35 is a compromise in every aspect, no rangefinder, upside down flash shoe mount, meter relies on an mercury cell battery, advance lever requires 2 handed use despite such a small camera, and the leaf shutter is unnecessarily noisy.
also the Sonnar is average at best, while the tessar has a nice sort of look, it is only really any good at f8.
>>2800086
are you upset because he likes things you dont like?
>>2796968
Do you ever wish you could resize your shit? The dream could come true.
>>2800042
Id kill for an A7SII and a 24 1.4. The fucking golden combo for landscapes astro
>>2800492
agreed
>Have a small range of old mechanical Nikon lenses because they're low price/good quality

what makes you think that
>>2801029
Sony mirrorless paired with old mechanical lenses
I've seen daily threads about that
>>2801031
Aside from the current FE lineup being a bit wonky they're still pretty fantastic cameras
I don't think anyone gives a shit aside from you mate
