1. not paying thousands more for a set of new nikon lenses for one thing (that have focus-breathing issues so the 70-200mm sony lens is actually only 135mm-ish max at portrait distances)
2. more used lenses and accessories available on craigslist/ebay/local stores/garage sales because it's the market leader so finding deals is easier
3. more 3rd party hardware and software support for being industry leader
4. the most repair centers because it's the biggest DSLR company. Nikon is also good with repairs but sony is a fucking joke that has to hire 3rd party people who don't know shit about cameras and will screw you over.
5. far better battery life than a sony mirrorless camera
6. true viewfinder instead of tiny electronic viewfinder on sony a6300
7. ability to use the best glass, which a sony with adapter cannot do. Sony a6300 with adapter still can't focus quickly/effectively with common canon lenses. A good sony body with shitty sony lenses that're missing important focal lengths and features is worse than a modern canon with canon glass.
8. better build quality, ruggedness and weather-sealing than a sony.
You'd find dozen more reasons why canon or nikon blow sonyfags away if you spent 10 minutes of actual research. But sony won't pay you for that.

That would blow his argument out fo the water unless he woulb be willing to go full /p/tard and claim that light meters are rigged and that they automatically jack up the iso to compensate despite the images on both bodies having similar grain. It's also because of the comparison of a camera sensor and a bucket of water, rather than the sensor being compared to an array of cups that while varying in size will all intake the same amount of water. The only way the bucket comparison would work is if the sensor only had a one pixel resolution.
